Good game of football that and a point was about right. Lewis, Platt and Halliday had excellent games but was a bit disappointed with the substitutions. Sutton adds nothing and I think we could've gone for it a little more towards the end.

Still, 4 points and two clean sheets from Salford and Grimsby away isn't to be sniffed at. Two home games now and need to be taking 6 points.

Disagree on Wright. IMO he’s so far looked a very decent signing. First half today he was part of most attacking moments of ours and equally supported in his defensive role and been like that most games he’s played.

 

I agree he is the best of the bunch at the moment, still think there is more to come from him the more game time he gets.

Wright consistently looks a threat which none of our other attacking midfielders/wingers has done.

All in all, a decent performance, and a good game of football. Grimsby are no mugs, and I believe we would have beaten lesser opposition today. We got in behind twice in the first 15 minutes, but grimsby also had their chances, both teams hit the woodwork, so a draw probably a fair result on reflection. Chapman has decent approach play but needs to add goals to his game. Dion looked a bit better today than he has previously but was rightly taken off. What i didn’t understand were the subs. Take off your striker and replace him with a midfielder when the game was there to be won is not justifiable. We were the team looking the most likely in the final 5-10 minutes but no sticker in the box to finish it off. Pretty disappointing. Can’t grumble with the point though on reflection.

After our below average performance against Stockport maybe the start of another unbeaten run.

I thought we shaded it first half but Grimsby were certainly the better side second half.

 

Enjoyed the game today, most of the fans I talked to after said you were the best side seen at BP this season so far ,it was definitely the most entertaining as you are the only team who have come so far to have a go which actually suited us (hence why we are a lot better away than at home.

Great to see a full away half end to ,today just shows me why we need a higher capacity even more attendance only 8k yet I couldn't see any/many empty seats .

Think you will be up there and hopefully now we can make a play off surge but as you know league 2 is very up and down
