Absolutely garbage. Second best from start to finish. We need to wise up and remember this is 4th division football, and star to do the basics properly. Our performances aren't getting better, and pur results flatter to deceive so far this season. Unless things change, this team won't be going up.

 

Challinor was Odusinas manager at Hartlepool,he would know all about his weaknesses,and how to target him.

 

It has been coming. Our results and league placing are decent. But im thinking about how many times I've enjoyed watching us, and thought we looked convincing. There aren't many.

On that showing I’d rather us play away for now. The ref gave any 50-50 to them. Play acting won in the second half.

They deserved to win on their first half showing and stuck a centre back on every time we put a forward on.

Think we needed that result. Overall we were really poor and by far and away second at everything. Credit to Stockport, they made us look clueless.

What’s concerning is that we have now seen at least 3-4 teams come up against us, apparently ‘play their best game all season’ and look like they have tactically out thought us. Today been far the biggest example of this.

Really want to see a reaction to this. A sense check to some level of complacency across some management and players perhaps?

The referee stuff is what I'd expect from a 7 year old. The booking on Angol was a bit harsh but not sure he got much wrong. If you expect every decision to go our away then you don't understand what the referees job is. There were about six occasions where the Stockport fans were bouncing out of their seats for decisions they didn't get. Fans going mental when the ref stops an attack for a head injury. What the f is he supposed to do? Everyone knows the ref has no choice.

On another note...

Odusina is the worst CB I have seen at VP for a very long time. I hate singling players out but how he's escaped more criticism, I'm not sure. It's not just today, he has no attributes that qualify him to be a CB.

 

Terrible game from everyone, no need to pick out individuals as everyone probably gave their worst performance.

 

If there's one positive from today, its that in the second half we binned off taking goal kicks short. That needs to be a permanent change. It only ever causes us problems. Far too many of our players seem to think they're entitled to time and space. We need to do the uglier stiff much better, and earn the right to play. Our performance levels aren't good enough.
