Thought it looked a bit dodgy at the time but we've been on the end of those before so swings and roundabouts.

Definitely, not saying he’s fast but he was behind Angol when it was played ;)

The pic shows the ball already on it's way so it was probably just on

Sutton was still a headless chicken who couldn’t pass wind when he came on. Seriously he ran around a lot, three or maybe four aimless passes, amongst causing a nuisance and yes Dion was poor. Halliday and Banks have an understanding. Dion isn’t there yet by a long way.

Wasn't it Sutton who played the ball to Angol for the assist to Wright.

It was, but I'm with Kevin. Sutton was hopeless when he came on and couldn't even control the ball at times. That said, I'm not sure why Hughes plays him out wide because he looks completely lost out there.

Not sure , I did look at that, but an assist to an assist will do for me if so.

When the season started we said we'd have a better idea going forward after 10 games we've played 11 and so far Sparkie's got more right than wrong.

Think with Sutton, his sole role is to become a pain in the arse to tired legs. Yes, he has little technical ability, was the same even when McCall tried so long to make him and Watt a CM partnership. He has great stamina it seems and a good 10 yard sprint with generally good pace too and can get into a tackle. I think he brings up on up the top to basically press and get in there as much as he can, as usually by the time Sutton comes in, we've also made 1 or 2 other changes up the top of the pitch and the hope is he can break up and defensive play and the other attacking lads can pick up the ball and go.

Cant ever see Sutton starting in the Hughes team. As he's said a few times, he sees his squad as starters and finishers and seems like they just want Sutton to be a disrupter rather than your Periera, Wright, Angol, Walker, Chapman types that all covered those wider spots so far this season who want it to feet and to try take on or spread the defence.

I think your correct and like Sutton or not the one thing he does well is chase's down what others might think is a lost cause, now going forward if the Sutton thinks he offers more it might mean the lad has to leave the club one way or another, because as you point out Sparkie and his team know what's best for Bradford City.

Spot on David. Those two late goals at Barrow and Colchester aside, gradual improvement and results on the up…What is not to like?

Two weeks running we've been struggling when Sutton came on and have turned the game around to gain four points instead of one. That says enough about his "headless chicken" contribution.

    Good assessment.

However I think the chance of us signing him is between 0 and 0%.

If he has a good year here then he’ll be loaned to a Champ side next?

article from him here in the Birmingham press last weekend, bigging up the fans btw:

He's out of contract in the summer and didn't sign a new deal before heading out on loan which would suggest he'll be released.
