I said for the Tories to lose an 80+ majority at the next General Election they would have had to perform really badly, I'd say at this moment in time they are doing just that, having said that the Labour party will have to show the things they say in their manifesto have been costed and achievable.

They did that the last time but nobody cared. Tories are done for a generation after this imo, their reputation for sound fiscal management (undeserved in my opinion) is totally shredded and rightly so. without that they have literally no other cards to play. Labour govt at the next GE I reckon, fecking finally.

The Tory MP's wanted Bozo out and preferred Sunak over Truss. Unsurprisingly, the Tory membership who had the final say, preferred Truss over the Indian chappie. Truss will very soon bring about her own downfall, thus paving the way for Bozo the Clown to reenter a new leadership contest. The Tory MP's won't want him back, but the membership mugs will vote him back in. Meanwhile, people like Rees Mogg and hedge funders will have made millions out of this whole debacle. It's all been very well planned.

Honestly tony watching you cry when they get in will be hugely rewarding in itself

I would personally take bland over having my pension bankrupted and not being able to heat my house but each to their own I guess

Don't worry, i'm ok, survived labour governments before, though probably not going to happen..
Let's just hope that the next administration don't have to deal with :
    1) Killer pandemic
    2) War in Europe
    3) Stupid money wasting effort to achieve a pointless net zero or
    4) The cost of having to build a new town each year to accommodate the channel invaders..

    Sleep tight..

Shit happens. It’s how it’s dealt with that matters.

1 tories made it worse through corrupt and incompetent mismanagement of our response
2 tories will probably make it worse at some point
3 tell your kids and grandkids you dont give a feck about them having a habitable planet to live on to raise their kids
4 with an ageing population you better get used to lots of immigration sharpish as there is no other way to maintain our tax base.

And none of those things nearly bankrupted everyone's pension in the past week, that was all down to the conservative party.

Gonna be Labour for years Tone you best learn the words to the Red Flag now!

Would laugh my head off if the person wiping his arse for him in a few years is an immigrant.

    1) You would have screamed blue (red) murder had they not protected us all with PPE and vaccines, but yes lots of money wasted
    2) But they haven't
    3) Wouldn't allow them to be brainwashed with that rubbish
    4) Can you separate 'immigration' from all the criminal gang members from war torn France/Albania that come paddling aboard ?

Now all you have to do now is to tell us all which labour or tory government at any time has given out more money than the present lot and don't say that it's all just going to the richest...

    How stupid is this government?

How's someone on £30k affording a £600k house, the thick morons.

And this is the official output of His Majesty's Treasury.

    Good God.

I know some are dyed in the wool Tory voters/working class haters, but even if you can't vote against the Tories for ideological reasons, surely you can't vote for these dossers. Surely you'll be abstaining at the next General Election.

I see the current offering of fixed rate mortgages are at about 5.5% at the moment. With variable ones being at 3.5% + base, so they are open to being huge in due course.

Lets not pretend that the billions handed out during Covid and shutting the economy for a year has no role in all this. We had a family BBQ in May 2021 and I was chatting with people then saying that interest rates would skyrocket once the honeymoon period had passed and that was long before any energy crisis etc. I locked myself into a 5 year fixed term mortgage at 1.2% back in late 2021. I feel for all those who are in expiring fixed terms where they will have no real options but to pay massive increases as the bank lock down their borrowing.

Sorry, Tony, the days of memes and cartoons winning elections and referendums is over.

People can see what Boris & Brexit delivered, and what Truss is delivering as we speak.

Get Cummings back in to try and associate Starmer with the IRA again, but it won't work.

    Tories are toast.

Is there actually a reason for that? Because that sounds like something I'd expect to hear from someone indoctrinated at birth.

The Tory membership should have selected Sunak.

He was pouring scorn on Truss' fairytale economics long before she actually trashed the markets with them.
