Yup, still plenty to address but we are in a good position - I am sure Hughes won't be happy but picking up a point so late in the day is a big plus point.

Cook never looked like scoring today their CD was pulling him all over the place and the referee took no notice because cook was chirping in his ear, right call as it proved, got out of jail today.

How about - were you happy with the level/number of chances created today? Or, after a lethargic first half, were you happy with how the team started the second half?

Or even anything insightful at all.

 

We're really missing Walker. No one really connects with Cook like he does in this formation. At times Cook just looks lonely up there by himself.

Cook seems to have managed so far without Walker tbh.

Thought the crossing was a bit of a let down today, but I'm happy we secured a point because Wimbledon were the better team second half

Nowt to panic about, had a mediocre day, but still couldn't be beaten

Onwards!

 

My observations from today :

• Chapman needs to stay on the wing. His quality is clear to show when he’s played in his preferred position
• I don’t rate Odusina that much. He’s got pace an made a good recovery from that cockup of a backpass by Chapman, but Odusina looks poor on the ball an is too lethargic when in possession
• Hendrie did well in the first half. Don’t know what he was doing in the second. Him grabbing the ball on the floor when he slipped up says it all really
• Glad to see Oliver break his scoring duck an what a time to do it. Hopefully it boosts his confidence as I still think he can come good despite a poor start
• Periera should not of started. Did not look match fit
• If Hughes planned to bring Sutton on, it should of been for Gillead or Smallwood as both had off days
• What was the point in bringing Harratt in if he’s never gonna play
• I rate Lewis but he needs to stop fannying about sometimes. But us in a bit of bother on several occasions.
• Wimbeldons’ No.10 did a better job of holding up the ball than Cook, Angol & Oliver combined. And he looked about 5’4. Good player though

Darren Drysdale is the biggest mug in english football. He actually had a decent first half but decided to remind us of his reputation. Letting the Wimbledon players get away with murder. Constant shirt pulling, Going past the line on several occasions during our free kicks. Kicking the ball away. The bald headed Eagle had it all. But he aint the reason we almost lost today. We played shit after Banks put us ahead an let Wimbledon back into the game. Hopefully we can fix that sooner rather than later because the likes of Northampton & Leyton won’t be as forgiving as Wimbledon

 

Just driving through Horsforth and passed a bloke in a black VW wearing a City shirt - looked a bit like Paul Chuckle … wasn’t you was it @Fordy117 ?

 

Agree with most of that. Thought the ref was alright. All the shirt pulling seemed to be situations where both players were at it. He'd clearly decided he wasn't going to get involved with the 50/50 grappling.

 

Err, we scored twice and neither were scored by Cook

 

Not the best performance but who knows, might be a vital point in the end.

I thought both full backs had poor games today, a lot of bad balls down the channels. Didn't think hendrie and banks combined well at all, and I struggle to recall hendrie playing a pass to one of our players all game.

Agree with the previous posters comments, don't think odusina is up for a big physical battle, struggling last week against Stevenage and really put to the sword by their number 9 today.

I actually thought there 9 and 10 worked really well together, something we need to do if we are going to carry on with one up front.

Pereira was poor, really off it. Too lightweight and little flicks nothing came off for for him. On the evidence so far I much prefer Wright.

The ref wasn't as bad as been made out, I think a lot of the frustration from fans was directed to him and not city. Whilst he seemed to be letting them time waste, he did add it on with a fair six minutes.

Still think it was two points dropped but could have been much worse

Got out of jail there and actually felt like a win with that last gasp goal. Its good to see time wasting teams concede in the 95th minute and Smallwood wasn't shy in telling half the Don's players.

Another great start, and thought we were going to steamroller them after being all over them in that first 20 minutes or so. Credit to the Dons, they grew in confidence and started to get create chances of their own.

Dons best team in the second half and probably deserved their lead. However, the antics of the last 10 minutes backfired on them and served them right.

Good to see Oliver getting off the mark and won every header when he came on.

Either Pereira was not fit or he was daydreaming because it felt like we were playing with 10 men until he was substituted.

Good character to come back and preserve their unbeaten home record.

We move on and welcome back Tyriek Wright and Brad Halliday next week. Hendrie failed to take his chance I thought and will surely be benched again next week

 

Fans around me were going absolutely effing mental everytime there was a physical 50/50 tussle between players and the ref didn't give us a free kick. It's getting tedious. Ref seemed like he was only giving free kicks if it was blatant. Sensible policy imo.
