Stevenage fans today thinking he may be in trouble for criticism of the Ref. As I mentioned in an earlier post on this thread I’ve been face to face with this guy and the weasel Raynor at the FA Commission after the Crawley punch up. Nasty piece of work in my findings. Don’t forget apart from the last few games last season it was him who sealed Gills relegation. In my opinion, shared by some of their fans, yesterday is the possible start of worse to come.
We are nearly 25% into the season and by video or games played all will know what he is about. Hoof and long throws won’t cut it. See if I’m right. Out of the country yesterday but followed things. Evans can moan all he wants, that’s his style that’s why he is yesterday’s man.

I'd argue at times referees are reluctant to give fouls ETC so opposition officials can't say the referee was swayed by the large home crowd.

 

Ott foul on Platt was appalling and little different to the foul that broke a leg!

 

Agree I've been a critic of Hallidays in the past but since the first couple of games the lads been very consistent, I can't see Hughes giving the RB birth to anyone but Luke Hendrie although Mr Ford believes Levi Sutton will get the gig, I'd have offered him a BBU bet but he's reluctant to bet.

Who does in fairness? If you have professional dealings with people round a table you know what they are like as a character. I have met dozens like Evans at the opposite side of the business table over the years. They don’t get far!

 

I guarantee the standard of refereeing will never improve. Its as good as it gets. Refereeing in real time with no replays means the refs are guessing half the time. It's an impossible job and they do it as competently as they possibly can.

 

At the time it didn’t look like the ref was going to book him but I think he changed his mind when he saw Platt in some discomfort.

 

Self pitying rubbish. Woe is me, MH has more money to spend than me, that is the reason we lost. He may well pay the price for harassing the Ref.

 

Good job I climbed over the fence and became a City lad. Missed yesterday's game recovering from a slight infection. Very impressed with our squad even Fordy is chilled. We are going up, we are going up .

 

Nobody could get everything right viewing at pitch level, only higher in the stands can you see what's really going on, that's the problem....

 

The game is full of these characters. Deliberate intimidation of referees for some marginal gains. Up and down the country, marching to the ref at half time, jabbing their fingers towards them. It needs clamping down on. Refs going on strike and letting managers ref games between themselves for a weekend would be a good start.

 

Got to feel for the likes of Man Utd, Liverpool and Chelsea who always seem to suffer from this phenomenon as well.
