It's about time we get the better of Evans. It's horrible seeing his teams outwit us every time he comes.

Him and Raynor really are an unlikeable gruesome twosome, but they do seem to know how to get teams out of this league, and I had them down as at least playoff contenders at the start of the season.

Looking forward to the match, and I think we might just beat the Evans hoodoo

 

Big game this. Thought it was all done for when it was 1-1 against Tranmere but city proved me wrong. We get a good result here it will bode very well going forward! plus its a win against evans which makes it all the sweeter.

will say this is the first time we have had two first teamers getting injured and i am completely unfazed if actually excited for the options to replace them! Looking forward to seeing timmy time in a league match.

It's important for Smallwood to win the toss on Saturday. Against Evans the Kop's noise will be needed in the second half.

There is two ways of looking at this. If we kick toward the kop in the first half, you are more likely to get the fans being more vocal from the start, rather than waking up for the second half.

That said, I would still prefer to see us attacking the kop in the second half though

Odds on with this guy he will turn us round. I have been against him in the FA hearing after Crawley. I can say with absolute confidence he is one of the most odious people I’ve ever come across and Rayner is the same.

 

They will.

They play a back three but it will be a deep back five at times. Their centre backs are tall and they play standard league two footy. Big balls up to the top. Most interestingly, Evans has brought in a lot of players he's known before, they're gelling well and playing hard for him.

I'd start Wright, I appreciate that's risky because he's the paciest to bring on later in the match but we need to get ahead and the earlier the better. Their defence isn't the quickest but they're well organised. Goal difference is only 2 better than ours because they have been winning a lot 1 nil.

The other aspect is they've scored a lot of late goals so we don't want to be pushing at the end to break the deadlock. Start quick, on the front foot, get ahead and stay ahead.

 

Yer, they like their big, long balls up to the front. Three big buggerlugs defenders giving the ball a whack.

 

..and that's why we should never contemplate employing the man, no matter how well he might do at this level
