If the biggest argument on here today is about Sutton or Gilly partnering Smallwood when we've also got East and Songo'o vying for the same spot then I think that we can be happy with how the transfer window has panned out.

 

Be a shame if he does looks a good player. Certainly plenty of options up front. Let's hope the two wingers get sommat out of oliver as to be fair not had much sevice

 

Speaking of which, what's Zesh Rehman up to these days?

 

LOL!! I'm still waiting to see who this "worst ever" CB was. I do remember defending Rehman, but it's a bit creative of anyone to say that I "loved" him!!

Rehman was horrendous, its very difficult to defend him other than to say we've had a few that were arguably equally as bad. Jason Gavin is probably the first to spring to mind.

 

The statistics for "carrying" suggest @Park bantam is making stuff up again.

It's a hilarious that there are some think that a L1 loanee who actually did a job, when it was needed is likey to be worse than any of the CB's we have in the 16 seasons I've been watching the division below.

As someone alluded to earlier. We must have had a good transfer window for the subject to move to 'banbrotam's dodgy comments'

However, like a stopped clock occasionally I'm correct and I'm proud to say that I've stated all summer that Pereira would be back

I don't get what you're looking at. I can't find any pass completion percentages in this, just detail about attack play. We've established that he's not attacking and the argument some of us has is that he's excellent in a midfield two with a high pass completion rate.

 

But we're not talking about "carrying". That's the job of Angol, Chapman, Bates, Walker etc - not the two central midfielders.

I think some fans of L2 expect way too much. We've got three who do that role. What we need is THEM to do that job well and the midfield two to THEIR job well, which is recycle the ball.

As is obvious from the stats, whether it be possession, winning the ball back / protecting the defence - the central two are doing their job. To ask them to do more is just been greedy.
