Summer 2022 - Transfer Talk

Yeh Songo going would leave us with 3 CBs....only see him going if 1 coming in. Sutton I can see going. Smallwood, East, Gilliead and 1 more at CM perhaps.

 

We wont see another winger. Think if we get this second man, boosting midfield seems the only logical step unless we replace an outgoing, but again none look obvious to leave.

If this thread is covering our leagues deadline day as a whole compared to the other transfer thread, looks like McKirdy is leaving L2 and going to Hibernian.

 

Praise the lord. Dion speculation is going to go down in folklore like all the other classics over the years.
Maybe we can concentrate on signing Billy Sharp now.

Dion and the Belmonts. Playing such tracks as “When and Where”, “Desire” and “The Wanderer”.

 

We did indeed, he's going nowhere most likely. These are the only players we have in the squad who were here and under contract last season -> Ridehalgh, Songo'o, Cook, Gilliead & Eisa.

Ridehalgh - is anyone going to want an incredibly injured prone full back turning 32 this season? Probably not.
Songo'o - we aren't going to leave ourselves with only 3 CBs, just makes no sense for him to go.
Cook - the main man, not leaving.
Gilliead - cant see him wanting to leave or us wanting him gone.
Eisa - walking injury.

None seem appealing, the other man in is probably a midfielder looking at our depth, unless it's a replacement for one of the lads above.

I think we did. I get the feeling MH quite likes Sutton. I know his form seems way off at the moment but he is still the only one of our current CMs who makes runs behind the defence and into the box. The likes of Gilliead, Smallwood et al just don't give us that. I think we'll keep him.

 

Would be amazing but where does he fit in?!!

Sometimes the stuff they do is to give clues and sometimes they like to do stuff which has clues in but enjoy folk dissecting it and trying to make sense of it!
