I notice Youngs goal was another example of a player attacking the angle of the box to entice a shot. Its arguably the way most goals are scored these days.

 

The most disappointing player for me is Smallwood, We need better than him if we are going to do anything this season.

Drop our captain who obviously joined us with a promise of playing every game. He plays some very clever passes and can spray the ball well. His set pieces have been poor though

 

The only issue for me is that he doesn't give the even more blatant one at the other end.

 

Whenever Songo’O is put under pressure he just panics. He’s playing well but has a tendency to have a mare in the wrong parts of the pitch.

 

Apart from his wokeness calling a ballboy a ballperson this evening for example, he is quite good.

I think the problem with Sutton's was he had lost control and the ball was heading away from him in the sense that even if the challenge hadn't happened there was no way he was getting the ball. If he'd kept it in closer control (which we all know is impossible as he seemingly controls the ball like a beach ball) they we may have got it. Just a guess though.

 

Captain or not, he needs to improve to keep his place. There should be no such thing as a guaranteed starter

Louis Reynolds. He has a habit of saying the wrong thing at times. Last match he was talking of the midland Road stand when he meant main stand. He's better with Gary. Tbf his summeriser has changed quite a bit which must make it tricky.
