Threlkeld loan move to Oldham

Good luck to him, hope it works out for him and it either gets extended or made permanent in January.

 

Is he any good? Capable of doing a job in the conference? Was hoping we'd sign a midfielder or a striker but if he sures up our defence then can't complain.

He's been pretty abysmal. Not sure he'll do much of a job for you.

 

He’s got experience in League 2 but it just hasn’t worked out for him here in various roles (mostly RB).

He had a baby with his missus fairly recently but there were rumours of other distractions in the background (mental health) at one point.

Hopefully his mind is straight and he does well now he’s got a fresh start - closer to home for him maybe? Good luck to him.

 

He’s trained with the full squad all preseason so should be fit ready to go.

He was part of a team that vastly under performed with Derek Adams in charge so it was hard to judge and apparently he has suffered with some health problems. Wish him well and hope your troubles with the owners are over. Sad to see a team that has played in the top flight now at non league level.

 

It's taken a few week to get him fixed up but hopefully he can get some game time at Oldham.

He's absolutely superb but an offer anywhere in the region of 3 footballs and a cornish pasty should just about convince us to sell.

I wouldn’t say he was a scapegoat, it’s just what the fans have seen and Mark Hughes. He made around 27 appearances for the club in over a year, despite being available for most of that time.
I don’t think his head is/was in the right place and his performances showed. If he couldn’t oust a young U23 centre back playing right back, then something was wrong.

Good luck to him. It’s pleasing to see the vast majority of fans wishing him well.

No idea why Angol should be a scapegoat. Struggling to see why some fans seem to have turned on him?

 

Because he has no impact anymore for fear of stretching his legs.
Just seems to want to hold the ball up then lose it or fall over

If you lot were in the North West counties basement division he still wouldn’t be good enough.
We played Chesterfield in pre-season and he got absolutely rinsed.
Good luck but if Oscar plays most weeks I can see you dropping another division

 

He will do a job for you but don't be expecting lung busting runs down the wing and loads of crosses into the box. He gets to the half way line then usually stops.
