It was a back post header. Nothing to do with near post Idle.

Started off really well and with quick passing, but couldn’t sustain it and it is errors galore from both teams now. Really poor to fall asleep at the back post again, carbon copy of the Colchester goal but from open play. Teams will target that so need to cut it out.

Not a bad game so far though just lacking quality.

He’s having a mare as well as Chapman and Angol.

If these statistics are to be believed, then it seems we are way behind on tackles completed.

Chapman is even more anonymous than Angol, which is saying something

I told you we hadn't strengthened the defence.

    Just saying.

    Should still beat these though.

We need to accept we're going to concede goals.

I would say that is correct. We appear to back off tackling!

Don't know just how many games it will take to witness the true Hughes revolution, but we should not be looking like also rans.

Of course he is opss, we can win this but we can't walk the ball into the net great piece of individual skill by Banks.

Said after Tuesday, he is no good out wide left . Get him closer to cook, where he can pick up the knock downs also he is no slouch over a shortage distance.

To be fair I have seen Smallwood launch a couple of longer balls from the right side diagonally to the left, just short of the penalty box.
However in possession we seem slow to make the next pass.

When we lost possession from a badly worked free kick well up the field....

For me, both in the Colchester game and in this one, he takes the ball too far, is challenged and gets a poor pass off. Needs to move it quicker, or dare I say it actually beat his man, other than just hold them off. He just beat two men, but then the third got the tackle in!!
