I'd change the system and go to more of a 4-4-2. In a 4-2-3-1 the wide players are expected track-back and help the full backs anyway so all we'd be doing is putting the number 10 upfront. It wouldn't be that much of a change and would allow us to play two strikers which should help whoever is selected to play up there. That's my opinion anyway and I'm sure others will disagree but that's life/football forums!

 

Have we a goalkeeping injury

 

Harratt doesn’t really look equipped to play lone striker either so you could say he doesn’t fit in the system

City goalkeeping coach Colin Doyle said: “We needed another goalkeeper in and it is good to be welcoming Joe.

“Him coming in gives us another body to do a variety of different training with, which is good for the whole group.

 

You would have thought then that at best he would be third choice. Strange one.

Waste of a loan really. Maybe, just want to leave Lewis at home for the cup matches.

Not sure on what basis. Looked decent so far.

Maybe some of the training exercises require pairs?
With 3, you are likely to have 1 stood around for each exercise.
If the Wolves lad is cheap, maybe it's to improve training standards.

Im hoping its some kind of Youth loan and doesn't count against our normal loan's. Maybe clutching at straws but a real waste of an actual loan if it's found to be

 

Loan slots only affect the starting 11/bench. I think the limit is 5.
We could have 25 loans as long as we only name 5 in a matchday squad.
Doyle's comments suggest it's to improve training standards.

Don't think youth loans are a thing now. A loan is a loan.

Pieria not in the squad today , is he on the way out at Luton. The lad needs to be playing.

Nothing wrong with the goalkeeping loan. It works out for all parties. Doyle can spend more time on the coaching side of things. Lewis is provided some more able competition. The new GK gets to train with the first team which will provide him much needed experience. An I'm guessing we will only be paying peanuts in regards to wages. As for the loan limit, We only have Harratt, Banks & Crichlow. Perriera may come in but even then we’re not breaking the threshold so there’s no real worry in that regard
