Hopefully @wetherbywhaler can draw this matter to the attention of those in charge so they appreciate (if they aren’t already aware) the potential for damage, injury and loss support resulting from the actions of this person. As posted above, surely the area it came from can be figured out and possibly letters or emails sent to anyone holding season tickets asking for any observations they might have on it.

I think it might be expensive, but for supporter safety and to avoid sanctions against the club we might need to employ dog handlers with dogs trained to sniff out flares. I have seen them used at Scunthorpe and Swindon in the past.

I hope the person is caught and banned for life. I also hope the club reach out to the little girl who is too scared to go again invite her and her family to the next home game and give them the VIP treatment. Unfortunately in this day and age both him and his mates would think it was funny and obviously an acceptable thing to do, these morons make me apprehensive to attend away days but throwing a flare aimlessly into the lower kop is beyond belief needless to say I hope the culprit is found.

 

The club are now asking for any information regarding the throwing of the flare,

 

The bloke whose daughter got hit should be reporting it to the police.

 

I’ve written to the club. We are in L block row J - came from behind and to the right of us - so hopefully cctv can pick them up

Let's take a step back from it being a flare or smoke bomb and look at it from a stand point of, who in the right mind throws anything from the top tier of a stand into a stand full of families in the tier below whatever it is. Anything coming at you at that height has the potential to do serious damage if it were to hit someone on the head.

These morons are hiding behind each other and people know who is doing it. Either point out the idiots who did it or ban the lot of them and then see how quickly they are to point out the culprits.
