Talking to a bloke who was at the match Hartlepool rested several players and never made an attempt to win the match. Fans pretty pissed off with the manager

    They've had an abysmal start.

    Look like non league fodder.

I hope Blackburn rest Bradley Dack, he always seems to perform well against City.

Knowing City, their season will suddenly kick into life on the 20th.

Blackburn made 10 changes from the weekend and handed out 2 pro debuts to teenagers from the start yesterday, hard to judge that side when most probably wont feature in the few games before the cup tie. Hartlepool made 7 changes too, doesn't look like they gave much of a toss about the game.

    Could have been worse.

Good draw in the sense that it will be a decent attendance both home and away. With it probably not being on tv, should get a bigger gate than Hull.
    Result could go either way.

Hughes, Songo'o, Chapman, Smallwood and Platt are all ex Blackburn. An extra incentive to progress hopefully.

Not a chance, there are Premier teams in the draw with far more attractive ties than ours.

    Crawley vs Fulham
    Bolton vs Aston Villa
    Tranmere vs Newcastle

For starters......I will go with them. Below possible.

    Fleetwood vs Everton
    Stockport vs Leicester

We had a chance to sign him a few years ago. Think it went as far as talks...

I would suggest Fleetwood & Stockport's games would be more appealing for TV than Crawley or Bolton's.

Ours definitely won't be this time around.

I deffo see Bolton vs Villa.

Crawley Fulham is a bit of a derby match so has a chance. They ignored the southern draw last round.

He wanted to play at a higher level and if not possible wanted a sky high wage. Way out of our pocket and I mean way out.

Well he went to Blackburn instead. Same league but must have been good cash.

I think it’ll be the Everton game. TV bods will be thinking there’s an upset possibility.

Would probably be an upset if Everton won given their current state of affairs.

Sky Sports will feature two games from Round Two of the Carabao Cup.

Bolton Wanderers against Aston Villa and Tranmere Rovers versus Newcastle United in Round Two of the Carabao Cup have been selected for broadcast by Sky Sports.

Bolton, who overcame Salford City in Round One, will host Steven Gerrard's Villa on Tuesday, 23rd August (kick-off 7.45pm).

And Tranmere have been rewarded for their epic 12-11 penalty shootout victory over Accrington Stanley with the visit of Newcastle on Wednesday, 24th August (kick-off 7.45pm).

There was never a cat in hells chance we'd be shown twice in a row (we're not Man Utd). Had we not been on against Hull, I think we'd probably be picked for this round given the history of Hughes and Blackburn.

I think you’ll find this week was his first start when Blackburn made a load of changes.
This season he’s been on the bench so far and has had little football in the last three years having had two CLs one on each knee. The second was on a Sky match where he had a simple collision with the gk. Even though he’s not 30 yet it makes you wonder if he’ll get back to where he was.
