Watched them trying to figure out which way up the flag was for about 10 minutes before ditching the original plan and eventually dragging it to the front of the kop and hauling it on from there.

Not seen any pics of it yet but I assume it looked good?

 

Fair dos to the City vent lads for trying to create atmosphere, but I hope we don’t have them cards again. Spent most the game dodging paper airplanes and some scroat threw one with force at an old man and you could see he was shook up, plus all the scruffs chucking them on the pitch like Leeds scum. Hope to not see them again, some of our ‘fans’ and such displays don’t mix.

 

On the contrary, if they investigate paper aeroplanes, then they cannot avoid investigation of pyros. Security at turnstiles is crap for these to be brought into the ground. CCTV will find them at the end of the day.

It was pieces of paper not bricks

 

The display looked good, at best, when all cards were aloft, however;

1) the timing was way off, block b in the kop lower had theirs raised first, and for a while, before any other block had theirs raised. Perhaps a suggestion for any future displays would be to print ‘lift when players step out of tunnel’ on the back.

2) the kop was probably 80-85% full, so there were noticeable gaps, especially in the blocks to the far left and right. A future suggestion may be to only have such displays when we have a full sell out anticipated, or at least 96-97% of the stand full.

All in all I’d say it was a good visual and added to the atmosphere positively on the whole.

 

Whilst it was harmless paper, fell right into Donny’s hands nevertheless. The keeper just made a meal of picking it all up.
