For once @Fordy117@Fordy117 I agree with you, we have seen it so many times in seasons past and I cannot understand why professional football managers don’t plan for scenarios such as this.

Reading the Donny forum , Ravenhills tackle was fair, it was Osadebe’s fault for being late into the tackle and Ravenhill was taken off for his own protection from Mark Hughes, the City players and the fans…..I kid you not!

Which game were these people at….oh sorry they weren’t!

@Fordy117@Fordy117 is right Hawksworth. MH will hopefully learn alot from today about the VP conundrum. There are reasons for everything - and particularly why we won so few games at home last season. And er, the season before that. And er, the season before that....

and watching the feed with the South Yks commentary, they saw it as a bad tackle as well.

The most cynical team I've seen at VP for a goodly long while. Under McSheffrey I can't see Donnie fans sharing in very much of the beautiful game.

In general we were far too slow distributing the ball and became quite predictable. We just didn't break down the two banks of 4.

Ridehalgh was quite frustrating receiving the ball often with his back to the kop second half. Why not turn sideways with his back to the main stand and then he is receiving the ball down the line ready to cross. Our crossing today was poor from both sides.

Them going down to 10 didn't help us at all.

And Sutton was no where near match fit.

Until we get as high as the championship it will be a problem because VP is every away teams cup final.

As soon as I saw it , real time I guessed it was a leg breaking tackle. Winning the ball, at pace with a two footed out of control follow through is a sending off as clear as day. They refs day just got worse and worse. He permitted timewasting , feigning injury , which allowed them to do it even more. Their two corners in the last two minutes with 5 big lads able to come up for a corner and yet they took it back into the corner to waste more time. A tactic they will regret? Awful stuff if I was a Donny fan.

Shocking tackle, if not intentional at very best it was the reckless type of tackle that risks injury.
Doncaster were awful in their approach to the game, feigning injury, time wasting and the ref let them get away with it far far too often.
    But…..couldn’t agree more with Fordy.
We were slow, predictable and nearly every time taking a touch or playing a pass too many.
Young and Harratt have been two of the better players pre season and was disappointed none started the game.
Without them we didn’t get in behind the opposition once until the changes (too late in the game) were made.
Frustrating day, but feel we need to look at our decision making, team selection and game management today more than anything

The sad thing is any team coming here and getting any kind of result will regard it as a good point :( we have to be prepared for this for the next 22 games shithouse tactics to gain a point and until we sort that out we will be in this league for a while :(

Just went through the Doncaster forum to see their take on the game. I don’t know what they’ve had but Il have whatever they’ve been drinking. Talking bollocks about how it was a fair challenge an didn’t deserve a booking. Their kid flew in off the ground with 2 feet

Reading the Donny forum they absolutely loved the tactics. Seemingly they were a soft touch last season so they are happy with any tactics that means they don't lose.

Good following today from Donny but very quiet during the game until the last few minutes.

This thread sums up why referees will always get slaughtered. A load of football fans on one thread (ours) saying it was a straight red and a load on another (donnies) saying it wasn't. I guarantee if this had been reversed 80% on here would be saying it was a good tackle. Unfortunately for the refs the majority of fans seem to think that the refs job is to award them all the decisions they want. The decision wasn't shocking in the slightest. It was just one that many on here disagree with. If he'd have given red the ref would be getting abuse on the Donny forum. They can't win. Guaranteed if you post this on a neutral forum you'll get a 50/50 split as to whether or not it was a red. Maybe someone can test it out if they can be arsed.

As for Osadebe, it's a sickener and I wish him a speedy recovery.
Exactly what we'd be doing on here if it was the other way round. Please don't kid yourself.

Regardless of the fans views it was a reckless two footed tackle that deserved punishing with a red card. That's why referees gets slaughtered when they cannot control a game or make obvious incorrect decisions. Todays ref booked the keeper for keeping hold of the ball after awarding a corner in the 88th minute when he had been time wasting since the 7th minute. MH said 3 referees came to VP last week to tell City that they were cracking down on time wasting.

Their kid did lunge in a bit. Ive just seen the video now an il accept I was wrong on the 2 footed part, but there was a hint of the challenge being out of control regardless of whether he got the ball first or not

As for Harratt being sent off. What was all that about? I saw the ref dish out the red card but you had 3 donny players squaring up to Cook literally 30 seconds before he sent Harratt off

Other than your well wishes you are plain wrong. Two footed out of control tackle is relevant , more relevant than getting the ball first. Read the rules!
