I'm assuming you're on about the players, not the people suggesting we can't possibly play because "it's a bit warm".

How hot was it when the lads were over in Spain?
They trained in the heat and they've been back here over a week in the heat, so I'd say they're pretty much acclimatised to the weather conditions.
I'm fairly sure most of the pitch at VP will be in shade by 7pm so it will at least be slightly cooler than playing in direct sunshine.

If it is anything like yesterday it will be red hot between 12 and 6 but then start to cool off. As the game is at 7pm with the sun being behind the main stand/Kop at that time I really see no issue. The goalkeeper at the Bradford end might want to wear a hat.

I find it bizarre! Be a good pre season test playing in these conditions.

And bring on fitness levels, why do we think proactive teams go to sunny climates for training?

I see England are current out playing a full one day game in Durham in this weather. Most of the stands are uncovered there too.

I'm unaware of any women's Euro games that have been cancelled due to the weather. Today is actually a day gap from the group to the quarter finals, but Iceland, France, Italy and Belgium all played yesterday evening.

I'm looking forward to the game tonight. I've not had a chance to get down for another pre season game. I'll be taking about 3 bottles of water with me and finding a nice seat in the shade.

Someone needs to put their thermometer in the shade. It’s currently 41.4 under an outside table in no sun , ( N Norfolk)

Inside the car is 46 also parked in the shade.

Speaking of Headingley and cricket. Yorkshire are in a game which is delayed due to rain at the moment down in Summerset.

Can’t believe we’re up to eight pages discussing this now.

Perfect weather for a curry, six pints now and an evening KO. Yes please.

See the Grimsby v Lincoln game is going ahead tonight and Grimsby giving away 4000 bottles of water to home and away fans. Nice touch

Yes nice touch….We used to give it away as customer service in hot weather. We paid 19p a bottle in bulk. Mind you a lot more than 4,000 bottles at Liverpool St station.!

For the pre-season games last season they were giving out bottles of water for free and with Harrogate Spring being a club partner you would have thought tonight would be a perfect opportunity for them to get some good PR by giving some water out to fans

Give it 5 years and bottled water will be a thing of the past. It was dying a slow death but covid and wars and all the other shit took priority and one use plastics got pushed down the list.

We will look back in 10 years and we will all think can you believe we paid money for plastic bottled water. Kinda like smoking on buses and in cinema etc.
