The point with Oliver it could have just been an initial contact with the club and he may be talking to several clubs secrecy would have been better. But it’s almost impossible in the digital age

 

It's a bit dumb to turn up at the club if they wanted to keep it secret.
Discussions could have taken place over the phone, at the players house, hotel, service station etc.

 

Players come to look round get a feel,of the place judging by his comments to the bbc after todays match I am not sure he’s is signed yet

 

It must be quite a way down the line then if he's coming to have a look around.
Finances must be nearly boxed off.

 

Maybe or maybe he left VP and traveled to another club to do the same. I like to know what’s happening like everybody else but sometimes it’s better to find out when deed is done

 

You can't turn up at the club's front door though and then moan that the cat is out of the bag.

“ Players come to look around” that’s what you said. I pointed out he never said such a thing.

 

Players used to meet James Mason at Cedars Court near M606. No one knew anything until the ink was wet on the contract. Best practice all round.

 

I can see the rationale behind inviting players to the ground. It's an impressive ground and should be used as a selling point.

 

I think Kian Scales has something about him. Given the competition he faces here, I'm hoping he gets a loan move and regular football. I think he could do a job for someone in this league.

 

If you can put a cover over their head until they get into the ground so they can't see the local area just to be on the safe side

 

They can see the ground on Youtube or google images. Players are in it for the money.

 

I'm pretty sure a load of our new signings came to "look around". It's just that no one was on the spot with their iphone to document it

Of course they are. But if money is equal, other factors can tip the balance. Our ground is one of the most impressive outside of the championship. Its better than some IN the championship. Showing it off will certainly do no harm.
