I'm going to hazard a guess Cook has been offered a 2 year deal to join little Cooke at Hartlepool.

 

From a limited sample of my new neighbour, he says fans would like him to have a go this season but after last season their manager might be looking to get into the playoffs again so he'd need to deliver. He also says there's an opinion going around that he'd prefer to go out on loan again - probably just some weird perception/rumour.

 

He's played for Barrow/Carlisle/Grimsby before. All are possible locations too.

But if we take the comments on the recent video on face value of "we're getting used to playing a different set up" then that might suggest more than one up front. Just a guess.
