I tend to agree with this. Whether we gel or not is another thing but I think squad wise we're as strong as anyone. Particularly with five subs now allowed there won't be many teams with the ability to bring the type of player off the bench as we will be able to. But it's a funny old game, so who knows?!

It's difficult to know how tough the league will be, but in any event we just need to focus on ourselves. The last time we went through a league season without sacking a manager was 6 years ago - we often defeat ourselves, so our sole focus needs to be on further strengthening the squad and backing Hughes as ambitiously as possible

 

A couple of doubts for me -
Can we score enough goals? Still think we are a Centre Forward short.
Short of a right back. Not really sure Hendrie is good enough as first choice.

Still got 7 weeks left in the transfer window, so plenty of time.
Certainly looks like we have got our sh1t together.

No. It’s definitely a player. I have absolutely no idea who but the club is working with one of its sponsors on a player reveal.

I agree about the striker, but think Hendrie is underrated by many on here, reminds me of Wayne Jacobs in that respect, no nonsense full back, nothing flash but would run through walls for the team. He won’t get many MOM awards but will do his job & be a driving force in the dressing room. A promotion winning team needs a couple of Hendrie’s, just as important as the stand out performers.

 

I think that's a fair assessment of LH.

But the comparison to WJ, is that relevant to the modern game. Full backs are so important up and down the line. Hendries final ball just dose not cut it for me. 10 assists in his career.

Or am I being too simplistic?

 

Is it "Blinds By Post"? Will they gradually lift up the drapes " Naked Attraction" style each hour?

Just worry about him going forward. Crossing not the best. Not the best on the ball. Can't beat a man. Not the quickest.
If teams sit back against us, which they will if we are going well, fullbacks getting forward is crucial.

He definitely cares and wants the club to do well. Just got doubts.
