I don’t know why any fan would want to keep any back, we tried that with McCall and Adams in recent seasons and McCall didn’t even get to use it! Terrible plan.

Go into the season full strength and any further additions to be made if we have a cup run or as you say pay on the gate, which was over 2,000 a game last season.

 

Was a few weeks ago wasn’t it? I remember at the time raising an eyebrow, and then wishing him well. Didn’t check what league they play in, but presumed it was top level. Can’t believe he’s now being talked about as a City player. Funny old game!

I agree but it’s always nice to have something aside if we do need that boost ...........we don’t how the season will pan out come January we could have a load of injuries with no money to help us out ..........as for McCall keeping money back I think there is a vast difference between the shite Adams and McCall brought in compared to now ............ we are maybe 2 signing from being happy with the squad compared to crap both them managers brought in

However, if this rumour has any legs he was the one that immediately sprang to mind - don't think he's backwards in coming forwards about being a City fan.

 

Dpn't do twitter and don't know cityvent. Have not said we are about to sign Andy Carroll, only made a case why it is not as unbelievable as first thoughts may aspire. You should not make assumptions.

Still don’t see Andy Carroll coming here. Would be an excellent signing for this level. His ability to hold the ball up an be an arial threat could give us the sort of boost Jon Stead did in his time here.

Cleverly would be a fantastic signing but he’s contracted for another year at Watford an he is fully capable of playing Championship football next year let alone League Two. No real reason for him to drop down two leagues
