    What's the exact quote, I'm getting confused, all I've read is 'Mark Lawn says there's a big signing' and the podcast doesn't seem to be out?

    We got Matt Duke. His previous club was Hull, who were a PL club at the time. Duke played 20 games in the PL.
    That's the best I can remember.

    This statement of allegedly signing a former premier league player is very vague. But if it is the case that the player in question was playing PL football as recently as last year, it could be :

    Ashley Young
    Conor Hourihane
    Phil Bardsley
    Erik Peters
    Aaron Lennon
    Martin Kelly
    Fabian Delph

    All I know is these players were released this year, To the best of my knowledge I don’t think any of them have found new clubs so far. An they are the type of players you could actually see dropping down the english league due to their age an etc
