He joined the city team for pre season training. Wouldn’t make sense for him to be there if we was leaving?

Hope not. He has come back looking fitter and leaner than any time at the club and the guy knows where the net is at this level. Better players around him this season as well.

Agreed, proven lower league number 9. Ridiculous to consider getting rid of him.

Would be a good move for both clubs if true.

Yes ... if they have a decent replacement lined up and I don't mean another untried academy product.

unless we have an upgrade in the pipe line, it makes no sense at all. 12 goals last year in a poor team and look knackered after the hernia operation over Christmas, where i am sure he had more than one xmas dinner.

Rumour seems to have been debunked. He can’t have been at Barrow today as he’s been at Apperley Bridge training all day

if he is off, best of luck to him. Did well for initially for us when he came in 18 months ago. Started last season off well when partnered alongside Angol but his form fell off massively once Angol got injured, team morale dropped an Adams had decided to persist with playing him as a sole striker with his back to the goal most of the time. Not the player he is

He needs to be in a team that already has a target man at their disposal an allows Cook to be a fox in the box an poach on any opportunities that come his way.

I can understand the logic to an extent if this is true, He isn’t a sole striker, an isn’t the best with the ball to feet. If he does happen to be one of the bigger wage earners, it would be good to get that off the books an to allow someone cheaper an more in the mould of striker that Hughes wants

It will be Barrow testing the water. I think we will need a replacement if he goes.

    Don't believe it.
Barrow is 2 hours 18 minutes away roughly What time does training finish? could be done I suppose but doubt it.

Im ok either way on this. Can see benefits to staying but also leaving.

He was training earlier but things can happen quick in football!

Hes been at training but nobody can confirm all day (they finish at 230)....if a deal was agreed he would be excused early.

Not saying its true but its certainly possible.

If he was training with us today then there's no way he's signed for them
Ignoring the geography, players don't train with their (soon-to-be) ex-club on the same day they have a medical or actually sign for another club

For me I’d be happy if he stays but if he goes it gives us a chance to go get another top quality signing.

He'll be 32 next and there ain't no improvement in him. I'd like to think we're going down a different route now in how we play
