On a positive note, we should cut out the free kicks given away five yards outside the box on the opponents right wing.

Like a lot on here, it does seem a bit of an odd move, but good luck to him.

Not bothered about his comment about a manager he can learn from. He almost had to say something like that for their website. I’m sure it won’t disrupt Mark Hughes’ sleep tonight.

That could be as little as £10.000.

Am I the only 1 disappointed, we didn't retain EW.

Though, his decision to join Salford has very much surprised me.

Is he located from the North West? I could understand it more if he had moved up a league

I definitely am. I wanted him to stay. I'm disappointed by his decision to go sideways.

He had an eye for a pass. That was his main attribute. The vision to make things happen. to switch play, to put the opposition on the back foot. Unfortunately he was very inconsistent, especially during the winter period. I remember watching the Hartlepool away game an he couldn’t string a pass 5 yards away

There certainly is a player in there. He does have the potential. And out of the 3 that have now left, I wanted Watt to stay the most as with the right management he could very well become a championship player one day

Personally I believe he would of flourished with a natural CDM alongside him who could do the dirty work, so Smallwood, along with a manager who would know how to get the best out of him, Hughes.

But he’s made his choice though. Ultimately on paper its a sideways move. That being said, there may be factors we may not be privy to. Valley Parade hasn’t exactly been the epicentre of positivity in the last 24 months.

Best of luck to him. Shame that he’s gone to a League Two rival, but it is what it is. Im sure we’l find someone to fill the void in the time to come

Only just read the news so not sure what's been said, but I'm sure my views will be aligned with many others.

Disappointed with this on a number of levels. Watt is a prospect and one I would have liked to have seen develop further at the Bantams. However, I would have understood his decision to leave if it had been for a club in a higher league. This would have made sense and shown ambition.

To read he has opted to sign for a League 2 rival in Salford however actually left a sour taste in my mouth! This lacks ambition from a football perspective. Yes, he's gone to a club who will rightly have promotion as their objective like ourselves, but that's a sideways move. Then I read his justification and it was, well it was lame! If he wanted a manager that he could develop under then surely Hughes is that man! The guy's managed international and world class players. We probably have the best manager in both Leagues 1 and 2!

The platform Bradford City provides him can also not be matched by any team in League 2 and his midfield partner in Smallwood is probably the best central midfielder in the division. What a partnership it represented for him. Again, where's his ambition?

Hey ho. I'll take my claret and amber tinted glasses off now. Enjoy the extra few pounds Watt. I'm sure you'll get a cracking reception on your return to VP!

You mean he made him an offer he HAD to refuse!

Clever! It did cross my mind earlier, we get a fee and put it towards an upgrade!

    Agree with what you said

It may just be down to the fact that things went on behind the scene that us fans weren’t privy to. Adams’ reign may of left a bad taste in his mouth. The Negativity around the club for the last 24 months, until Hughes came in, May of made his mind up already. He may of already agreed to moving elsewhere prior to news of Smallwood’s arrival.

that assumption would tie in to the fact that Watt’s agent was eager to get Watt another move. Yes, that is ultimately the role of an agent, to get his client the best deal possible, but there was a scent of desperation to it, the fact that he moved to a league two club kind of emphasises this

Hadn't read your post until after I posted mine, but our views appear to be the same. It will be interesting to see who is brought in to replace him.

What I don't get his is comments that he moved to Salford as he thought the manager there would improve him as a player? Compared to Mark Hughes who ended his career as a holding midfielder. He moved because it's closer to home and he got money thrown at him. Can't blame him but let's not lie
