I’d say East is the most probable like-for-like replacement for Watt. That is unless we have someone else lined up to replace watt.

As for Crichlow. A back 3 of him, Platt, an songo’o in the middle would work with Crichlow being the ball playing CB on the left an Songo’o being deployed in the middle as a sweeper

 

It would be interesting to see how other Swindon defenders compared to this, some of the stats like shots blocked and duels could be low just because they faced less due to being a better team that was attacking more like in the Premier League Ederson made fewer saves than 19 goalkeepers last season but he's nowhere near being the 20th best goalkeeper

Dion Conroy was the most active defender in terms of physical 'duals' (lol, sorry, referring to the post above yours) - looks like he was their blood and thunder defender, as well as their captain.

Interestingly, he has since left Swindon.

What a strange move that is and clearly one that's made with only money in mind.

He'll have had better footballing opportunities on the table, us being one of them but he's gone to make a quick quid instead of trying to further his career.

 

A year under Hughes does well he gets himself a championship move and on four times the amount he’s getting at Salford. Crazy decision he’s been really poorly advised.

 

Its been a busy day for Watt. A change in clubs, but more importantly, a change in agent as well

Seems a lacklustre move does this. Happy we get a fee but Salford are terrible. expected him to move to L1. Sideways move for the player at best given the direction we are moving in under Hughes.

Clearly no league one club wanted to take a punt or give a good wage offer because of having to pay compo is he was left with going for money at Salford or staying and he chose to go.
