    The big clubs such as Liverpool, Man C and Man U and others with a global market specify their colours to a very precise Pantone code. Their kit suppliers manufacture to those precise codes since they know they'll sell millions around the world and it makes it worthwhile for both parties.

    Lower league clubs such as ours who might sell 5-6,000 shirts each season don't have the luxury of being able to specify a particular pantone code. It's just not worth it for the manufacturer to reset their production for such low volumes. Instead, they use 'standard' colours from the manufacturers' palette options. That's the reason why Claret & Amber changes in tone every time we change kit provider and we finish up with a rhubarb & custard kit! As an example, when Nike was our kit provider, our kit was really Nike's 'University Red & Old Gold' combo or if you like claret(jsh) & amber(ish). Close enough if the kit manufacturers are paying to supply us.

    I read that article and there were some truly hideous ones. I never got the popularity of the Nigeria one and what the hell is the bloke in the article wearing? My favorite really so bad it’s good shirt was the Hull City shirt from early 90’s.

    I didn’t look at any pictures after the girl in the Venezia shirt. Absolutely corker! (And the shirts not bad either).

    The rumours are true about Macron kits. They’re very skin tight, and for those with a few extra pounds they feel uncomfortable if you don’t get a bigger size and emphasise lumpier parts markedly.

    If you’re L, you will need XL. If you’re XL, you will need XXL. etc

    Their shirts are tailored for athletes in great shape. They should really bring out a replica with a more general population friendly material / size
