    From talking to someone who knows him fairly well. He says he a very skilful player, a bit different in style to Vernam but a good asset to have in the side. Hopefully we get the best out of him.

    Seriously @Fordy117@Fordy117 i’d be pissed if I was a Liverpool fan, dress it up however you want but he’ll be missed if he goes. And if MoSa decides to go, Klopp will have kittens.
    Anyway, let’s give Chapman a chance before judging him.

    Happy with his one. Softens the blow of losing Vernam. A decent spell at Shrewsbury in L1 the season before last so hopefully replicates that kind of form.

    Admittedly this is a bit of a crude assessment, but according to the AA Route Planner, a journey from Hartlepool to Blackburn is 2hrs 13mins and the journey from Harlepool to Bradford is 1hr 34mins.

    So he's saving 39 mins, which is something but nonetheless a lengthy journey still. Fingers crossed it doesn't affect him. Hopefully he lives south of Hartlepool and the journey time is less than suggested.

    He had his best season at Shrewsbury, which is a damn sight further away from Hartlepool than Bradford is!

    Oh yes very true, it was more about the “old(er) head” rather than the position.

    Smallwood and the CB from Hartlepool would mean a cracking recruitment round for me.
