Great, having a shit day at work and will be missing first game , as at a wedding.
Why the season has been brought forward for us is beyond me. We are not having a world cup break, so why the need to gain a week. The wedding has been delayed for two years because of covid and was planned for july to fit the many season ticket holders in our family group.

I think the EFL will want to keep the period over the world cup quite flexible so as to not risk clashing with England or Wales (in the case of Newport) match like the 2nd place of our group plays on Saturday 3rd December so no club will want to play then if it's England. Also the other competitions like the EFL Cup & Trophy have all had their dates changed which will have a knock on effect. Depending on if the EFL follow the Premier League there might be a fixture slot lost between the Boxing Day game and New Year match where teams would normally play on the 28th to make up for the Saturday before being Christmas eve.

 

What time (uk) are Englands game k/offs ? I thought they were at daft o’clock to avoid 50 degrees?

 

Many people go on holiday the last two weeks of July because that is when the schools break up. Usually the football season kicks off in August but this year it is earlier. I think a fair few will be away.

 

We kick off on the 30 July don't we? If so,
I'm hoping we have Sutton away followed by Crawley at home because I'm on holiday for the first two games.

 

Gillingham away, would do nicely if you are away plus for those who want to go it's far better down there in the summer than the week before Christmas.

Fair point but still expect a good attendance though.

Iran is 1pm on Mon 21st Nov, USA is 7pm Fri 25th Nov and Wales is 7pm Tues 29th Nov. Kick offs in the group stage are 10am, 1pm, 4pm and 7pm. In the knock outs it's 3pm and 7pm.

Bummer, the only one I can watch is the USA game, the day after Thanksgiving. We won’t be in school. The others I won’t get to watch.
