He'll be back, he ain't good enough for the championship as it stands. Could end up having a great 6 months then end up recalled. Lets hope we get him for the season

I would suggest that there is a bit of game playing going on here with Dion dropping hints he's coming back and Hughes making out he wants him to, but it's far from certain that he will. Helps mount up the excitement for when the announcement is made.

I would do that but I'm not going to because Park and Fordy have told us there is no point in the club doing things like that because fans aren't that fussed either way about who we sign or don't sign.

 

Thousands are still waiting to see which seats are available come the seat deadline - hence why we usually shift 15% of total sales in the final week alone.

Well on course.

 

Don’t put words in my mouth of course fans care however we have probably sold over 10.000 so far and who we sign will make little difference to the final total. The fact We appointed Mark Hughes and his style of play and our successful end of season created that feel good factor and the reason sales will probably be up this season

 

VP is gonna be rocking again next season.

In the current economic climate it will be a huge effort for all concerned with the club if we match or surpass last seasons ST tally.

I think the reasons why sales are as they are is a combination of factors:
the MH effect
decent and engaging marketing
the early signing of young hungry players.

Things that we have lacked in recent years. The people of Bradford and surrounding districts are reacting well to the positivity around the club.

While we are not a big club per se, we have the potential to hold our own in the Championship and that is somewhere I would really like to see us within 4-5 years. And with MH at the helm.

 

The point isn't whether it does make a difference or not, or whether you believe it does or not, but whether Sparks & co believe it does and so are staggering announcements accordingly (which they clearly are)

 

Have the leavers, Vernam and Watt, been announced yet? Do they have a deadline to our offers?

 

Bet they leave the announcement that they are leaving until after the early bird deals have stopped.

 

A very fair point which is why I asked the question. The CEO and marketing manager dont realise they are wasting theirtime though as resident bantamtalk lurkers know better.

 

I question Sparks judgement on a few things but I give him credit where marketing is concerned.

 

TBF they cant stop other clubs announcing if deals are agreed........they will have offers to consider but looks like all 3 are still all to play for.

 

You would think clubs they are going to would want to announce to help push their sales

 

Maybe it was in the negotiations? In any business I guess you always keep the bad news hidden for as long as possible. I just hope the lads we've brought in aren't the replacements for Watt and Vernam as that's where we would need to replace their quality with some decent signings.

 

Or it could be the opposite that they are staying to boost sales that have more value to the club.

I would prefer that they all stay

 

I've heard Watt and Vernam have gone, how factual that is I don't know.

Hope it's the latter. He'll Rip up league 2 next season if he stays
