I think he's a good player to have around. His solo goal against Tranmere was fantastic

I think Sutton is decent, so I'm happy

    I genuinely think he's underrated

Delighted he has signed a new contract.

Vernam and Watt announced next to really ramp up ST sales.

I actually like Sutton but if we went with a him and Watt in the 2 holding/defensive midfield roles that we seem to employ I think we could do better. He can definitely rat about and pressure people but his strengths from an attacking point of view lie in running in behind the defence from a midfield position rather than holding. I think using him as an attacking right back could possibly be a better position for him over someone like Hendrie as he has more pace, is his delivery good enough to warrant this? As I say I like him, he has come across as more committed than a lot of others and tries to create something but can understand if he divides opinion.

Glad that your opinions for zilch then. He is a good versatile player who pulls the dressing room together with his character. Sounds like our version of James Milner :)

my gran used to say if you don't have anything good to say, then button it. She'd have a field day with your constant negativity.

Tony McMahon was good for that - important for the dressing room.

Any squad member will have to seamlessly fit in the playing ethic, clearly MH/GH have seen enough in his limited game time for him to do a “job” or as some suggest develop into a new role. Good luck to him.

Agree BL. You need those types in the dressing room to keep everyone smiling.

You don't necessarily need to be great at passing in a possession based team as people are constantly moving giving you options

That’s true but I do think he needs to improve his first touch and short to medium pass to be effective imo, maybe Hughes can improve him. Still I’d be surprised if he’s a starter in midfield next season.
