I trust Hughes judgment, i have got a feeling I haven’t had since Phil Parkinson was here.

Ding dong bell? Professional football manager or full time scout are we? You are the problem. Commenting when you see them play, would serve you much better, well beyond the nous of Football Manager 2018.

I’ve never heard of the lad but below is a comment from a Barrow fan on another forum, also similar comments from them online. He rejected a new deal so Barrow reject seems very harsh and wide of the mark:

He isnt a Barrow reject....they offered him terms but he rejected.

A young, hungry FGR bench warmer who was held back by Jay and Stevens, the best partnership in the league.

The goalie I can give ya but I'd expect another keeper to compete with him.

Agree, the anology the bell made was same as saying Watt, Vernam and Paudie were Bradford City rejects. If life wasnt only a PlayStation game?

Pretty sure Newcastle or West Ham won't be turning their nose up at Tarkowski. Same difference, levels above but same difference.

His beef was with Adams though wasn’t it. He supported City as a boy.

don't know anything about the lad, same as the other two new signings other than,
They are all the right age , with possible re sale potential if they do well
Sparky is no mug though, so they must have something.

    Indigestion?

I know what you mean, though :)

i like the age profile of our signings. We look to be trying to build foundations and sign players that may win two promotions, not scrambling around with Lavery/Robinson ‘one-season to get you up’ types, closing our eyes and hoping for the best.

There isn't a pooh emoji on here but if there was I'd use it. Come on, gove yourself a shake. These players have experience and potential especially for their age, have been chosen by Hughes and signed early (wow what a change).

Think we are currently just signing players that mainly know the league.

Sparky and his team will back themselves on improving players.

Aye, we only had Paudie and Kelleher as recognised first team CB's. Songo was put there to fill the gaps. Hughes will definately want 4 CBs you would think. Suppose there is Reece Staunton to consider as well.

For the first time in a long time we seem to be recruiting with an actual strategy in place. Hughes wants us to play out from the back so we’ve immediately signed a Goalkeeper and CB who are capable of doing so. Sounds like the obvious thing to do but I couldn’t understand why in previous seasons we’ve signed players whose style of play completely contradicts what the manager is looking to implement. Bit reserved about the 3 new additions tbh, they sound decent without being spectacular but there is a clear plan in place which at least gives us half a chance going into next season.
