We’ve played the best teams in the league recently though Rod, tbf. Had a horrible run of games.

At one point it was nearly every team in or around the top seven:

Mansfield
Swindon
FGR
hartlepool
Port Vale
Newport
Bristol Rovers
Northampton
Tranmere

last three have been easier.

hartlepool aside, that’s our toughest fixture period of the year so 14 in 12 isn’t too shabby

 

And look at the number of chances opposition hss. Less I think, plus players seem to be putting themselves on the line more and crucially doing more up the other end of the field. Colchester was a weak side out. I know you look at stats and it disagrees with what I say but sometimes you need to look past stats and at performances

 

What has he produced in terms of goals and assists?

He looks great. His swanky drag backs and shimmies look good, OK he tracks back a bit and wins possession but at the moment, unless my maths is totally wrong, he's pretty much on a par with Gilliead who gets pelters every week.

Goals win games, OK we scored four today, how many assists from Pereira? Right, we produced more after he went off. This is why he's playing in league two - lack of end product. Don't let the flashy skills blind you. Teams need goals and assists.

Agree Idle. Both at our place and yesterday there was a simple message from Sutton officials. First they were delighted to get promotion against some with more financial clout in the NL and felt in doing so they punched above their weight. Second the majority view was had they been offered third bottom at the start of the season they would have taken it. As things stand they can still make the play offs but depends on the others and certainly fans I spoke to after the game seemed to think that result killed it. At least five people, club officials and fans said they hadn't played as bad as that for weeks and put it down to a hangover from hammering Crawley mid week.
Good luck to them but equally we played well especially first half.
