    I cannot see a queue of clubs from league 1 forming a queue to be honest.

    Majority of his goals were scored in non league, 25 goals in league 1 in 3 years. 31 years old.

    Another player on his way down in my opinion

    I agree it would depend on budget, but if he wants the earth I’d stay well clear there are no guarantees as we’ve seen with players living off their past before. We need to use the budget wisely, I’m sick of see ageing journeymen rock up and flop.

    Nearly a 1 in 3 for Ipswich and that's championship/ league one. I'm happy with that on paper although as we all know, it's no guardhouse that it will translate.

    This is the right way to go about it, IMO.

    We need to be pushing the club as an opportunity rather than a pay day.

    That way the likes of Vaughan will hopefully snub us, while players that want to achieve something will come.

    Fairy tale stuff, obviously, but like most of us have said, Hughes COULD be that gaffer with the magnetism.

    This narrative will also ensure newcomers start off on the good foot. There has to be some positivity if a lad like Walker takes a sizeable pay cut to come here.

    Smart all round.

    Listening to Charles Vernam after the game, he was very diplomatic when asked about his future but he sounded like he's off to me. That'll be a massive shame.

    There’s always been something there with him. Now that he and the team are being properly coached, we’re seeing what he can bring. He’s one that I don’t think we can afford to lose tbh. Our ‘proud custodian’ needs to dig deep and give him a contract that reflects our stance on ‘not accepting mediocrity’.

    If said pubs owner has loads of other stuff to do, and the reason he’s bought the pub is cos his mate told him it’s a good idea, then the logical thing for the new landlord to do, is employ an experienced bar manger who knows the business, can handle staff issues, and know what the punters want. If he doesn’t want to do that, and his heart isn’t in it, then the landlord should bite the hand off anyone who wants to take the pub over. A pub is nothing without its customers, and if you keep telling them you love your local, but don’t make any improvements, then the punters will quickly find another place for their business,

    Rupp has to put up or piss off imo, His talk is cheap, and to be honest, an insult to those that loyally follow the/his club.
