Watched the film Belfast, really good from the innocence of a young child’s point of view at the time of the ‘trouble’ in Belfast. Some fantastic acting and less reliant on special effects, which is rare for a film these days.

Great performances from everyone involved, but note to English woman Dame Judi Dench playing an Irish grandma and is as fantastic as ever at 87. It takes a bit of getting used to her with that accent though!

I suppose it depends what you want. It's a drama series, not a shoot 'em up.
I don't think that 'nothing happened'. Yes, each episode built to a cliffhanger climax, as do many series, but I felt there was plenty going on in the rest of it.

Just watched the second series of Traces. Crime drama set in Dundee.
I really enjoyed it but, judging by reactions above to Vigil and Trigger Point, some of you might think it was too tame.

Very poignant film for my Belfast born wife who was brought up over there during the 'troubles' and has plenty of tales to tell.

We were over in Belfast in September. We were quite shocked at the tension that still bubbles in the Falls Road/Shankill Road area. Its such a shame as generally speaking the majority of Belfast people are very welcoming and enjoy a good craic with visitors.

The Jimmy Savile documentary on Netflix is an uneasy watch. Absolute fruitcake, and very sinister. Didn't realise he got on so well with Prince Charles. The man had everyone fooled.

Another uneasy watch, which I stumbled across on iPlayer, was "Time" starring Sean Bean. Enjoyed it.

At least the above two shows are a welcome break from "Below Deck" which my Mrs seems to have on constantly (in fairness it's quite addictive).

The Jimmy Saville thing is an eye opener .

Some of the stuff on there is shocking and he basically gave do much of what he did away in interviews.

    What a prick

Time was excellent and seemed to go under the radar a bit at the time it aired.

Sean Bean has never been better in my opinion, it was a terrific acting performance

Very cheesy, but also very feel good factor. It’s like Jossies Giants for adults :)

Now I can’t watch it without thinking of Elland Road!

There is some excellent character acting in the Danish drama " When the dust settles" from Walter Presents on All 4.
