Bradford City "even better" than Man City or Utd

    At least according to the excellent Nicky Campbell on the phone in on Five live this morning. Did anyone else hear it?

    Caller Ray from Manchester was asked by Nicky who his team was, City or Utd?
    "Neither..................... Bradford City" was Ray's reply.
    "Even better!" responded an obviously surprised Nicky

    So at least we have the Nicky Campbell endorsement to take into the new season if nothing else.

    I know, I'm easily pleased and amused but it did bring a smile to my face.

    Yes Jon, and any football credibility he may have had may well be truly shot now :)

    Although to be fair he doesn't profess to be a football expert but I'll take any positive no matter how small and whoever it comes from

    Unfortunately not me. I always get annoyed when I refer to City as City and people assume I'm talking about MCFC when they know i support BCAFC.

    My route back home, from home games, takes me across Manchester (between Victoria & Piccadilly stations). Wearing my City colours I regularly get asked how 'City' have got on; it seems most Mancunians are happy to refer to us as 'City', when its clear (because of the colours) which City they are talking about.

    I tend to find Manchester far better than Stafford, where people tend to refer to us as 'Bradford'.

    I hate Bradford. I'm too young to know of the Bradford PA rivalry but it just doesn't sound right .

    Tram ticket is included in price of train ticket if journey includes transfer from Victoria to Piccadilly, and there is also a free linking bus between the stations.

    Indeed. Hopefully, from December 2018 (although it might be delayed to 2019) Northern services will be extended through to Piccadilly. For a short whiles they were running services to/from Oxford Road, but these have been temporarily suspended, due to their rolling stock shortages.

    Once, the new services are up and running it should be a straightforward single change at Piccadilly.

    Yes, agreed, but most do seem to recognise our colours and adjust the conversation accordingly.
