Like us Tranmere have gone four games without a win, unlike us they are still in it and a point off the playoffs. We were a goal up until the 50th minute away to them in November, but they went on to beat us 2:1.

Still think City players have some pride and eye on their future (either with us or elsewhere) to play for, and MH et al will be wanting to maintain pressure and expect them to turn out. Hopefully will be a good show and we finish higher than 15th, plus should be a few at VP with it being Tranmere, a Bank Holiday and a reasonable weather forecast.

Tranmere's away form is truly terrible at the moment, reading DLLLDL.

They haven't even played particularly good teams lately.

There's every chance we beat these, but realistically we're heading for a draw IMHO.

Surely we have to win a home game at some point. Performances have improved on the whole, should have beat Swindon and Newport. I am hopeful of a GOOD FRIDAY. City to win by the odd goal.

Not all Good Friday draws have been boring though:

Great game and definitely not boring!

We got stuck in traffic travelling up to Bradford and missed the kick off. When we got to our seats we were already 2-0 down. We settled into our seats just as Deano scored. I'm sure you know the rest of the roller coaster game. Matty Clarke the saviour!

I'm trying my hardest to give a shit about tomorrow's game but I'll be honest I'm struggling. At least Tranmere have something to play for.

    I'd take a 4-4 :joy:

I think we're all in need of a little bit of entertainment tomorrow - this thread is a bit depressive...

Pressure on both teams for this match for different reasons, we are desperate for a home win and Tranmere will be desperate for a win to at least keep in touch with the play offs. Looking at their fans comments on Twitter it looks like they are not partially happy with the style of play especially away from home so if we can get an early goal their fans could turn on them.

Interesting to hear Cooke and Vernam comment on them training at Valley Parade and how it was nice to train on a decent surface. Maybe those training pitches at Apperley Bridge do need looking at with comments like that.

The idea Woodhouse Grove is an elite pitch is laughable, but I've only ever heard people claim that it's adequate or acceptable (especially when you read between the lines).

    No doubt VP is better

Good idea to try give them confidence on our home pitch, too.

I'm hoping Evans finds his seat on the bench tomorrow. After a short cameo appearance where he looked ok, he's reverted to how he's been since he returned. Disappearing after 20 minutes, hospital passes, always backwards and always just missing out when he should make the ball his. I really won't be sad to see this guy leave at the end of the season.

Anybody any knowledge on least home wins in a season.

Adams and Hughes both could go on our historical records, under our shocking owner.

    4 from 20 to date

    Ask and ye shall receive!

Fewest home wins: (starting year of season given)

    4, in 2000 (19 matches)
    5, in 2006 (23 matches)
    6, in 1926 (21 matches), in 1972 (23 matches), in 1999 (19 matches), in 2003 (23 matches)
rounding out the top-10 are a number of 7-win seasons

This season will therefore mean an addition into our top-10 worst home seasons...
