Cook is poor, pass puts him in the clear, 8 yds out and his lack of mobility costs us a goal. Poor, poor poor.

 

What did we learn about Northampton this week,don’t give them corners or free kicks and what do we do but give them corners and free kicks.

 

They are garbage so far, we are worse perhaps?

 

We have very obtuse players. Hopefully Hughes brings in some clever young prem loans next season who actually understand basic instructions.

 

This is a dreadful game. No midfield whatsoever and can’t put 3 passes together.

 

Why doesnt hughes dropCook ? Surely he knows hes pants, cant run, cant shoot.. never wins a header

 

I hope if this is Sparkie's style of possession football it is because we have little quality up top because I don't fancy a season of keep ball with no end result.

 

We've nothing about us. We must be the least mobile side in the league. We have no pace anywhere in the side. So even when we're neat and tidy, it goes nowhere because we can't get up the pitch or penetrate the opposition

Seriously, who's the quickest player in this side? There isn't anyone you'd describe as quick. Not one. And most are downright slow.

This season can't end soon enough. Big changes needed to this squad.

 

Yeah, but apart from that, there's not much wrong.

 

You often see this with teams who are implementing a possession based style. It takes a bit of time for people to get comfortable with it, but the bottom line is we don't have players who can play it. So it looks dull and it looks like its possession for possession sake - which Hughes has said several times, isn't what he wants.

We just need to ride it out, recruit players to fit the system and style, and be patient.

Bristol Rovers are the template for what I think Hughes wants to build. Possession based, front foot, high energy and high press football. But it needs an overhaul because few of these players are good enough to play that way.

 

These are the worst 2 teams i've seen this season, really hope that MH takes no prisoners....

On this showing and I have said it before, if we lost 90% of the squad I wouldn’t be surprised!

Nothing wrong with the formation, it’s those playing in it!!!!

 

Depressing stuff as per usual, glad i am not watching on i-follow.
Not even one attempt on target in the first half, could have kept Adams on for that!

Going to be fun selling season tickets to get a competitive budget for next season's khazi league.

*ps Andy Cook is one of the few signed up for next season, so how do you get him off the books
