    It looks like they may drop into non league. I was just wondering if there are any good players we could pick up? Not always easy to spot good players in a poor team.

    Hey I was just asking:) besides we know that you can’t really evaluate a player properly when they are playing in a poor team. I just thought some of you “would be” agents might have spotted a gem!

    There isn't a single player we should sign from Scunthorpe.

    - Least winningest side of the 92 in the EFL (even Burnley won some cup games)
    - Lowest goalscorers in the bottom three divisions
    - Worst defence in League Two by a country mile (by a clear 9 goals conceded)
    - Top scorer has 4
    - Absolutely crap

    I fully accept they didn’t sink to the bottom good results. We have been talking about our ex players doing better than they did for us. Plus we might be able to sign a gem as they will no doubt be unloading their players.

    Only decent players they had this season buggered off at the first chance they could get. Ryan Loft went to Bristol in the first week of Jan after scoring 6 in 19 for them. Not a terrible return for the team he was in, but he only left for £50K. Miles Hippolyte was the other, winger with 4 goals and 2 assists from 19 league starts, they agreed to cancel his contract and he left on a free to Stockport in Jan.... owner made 50K off his only two scorers of the season and replaced neither. They had a young striker on loan from Bournemouth too but he got recalled in Jan after getting a couple off the bench.

    Average age of the squad this season is 23, awful recruitment over the years to end up like that. Lot of lads with no clue, our old pal Turnbull got his old head of recruitment job back not long after Adams sacked him and he signed a few older lads but none up to scratch it seems. Might have a few lads get another league shot but none look like they are worth a good look. They have Alfie Beestin starting most games, former Leeds youth who seemed to get linked with us under McCalls last spell if i remember rightly.

    Thank you. It is a good evaluation of the current squad. They are already signing players they want to keep before the lg2 clubs come calling.

    We watch them every week rather than the odd match. Most of the ppl on here are reasonably accurate in their assessment.
