New Kit 2022/23 (with Poll)

We wore the Benson and Hedges kit against Northampton.

 

True. My mistake. But it doesn't alter the gist of my post, which is that we are known throughout the football community, including abroad, as wearing claret & amber stripes, not boring white.

 

We are synonymous with the colours claret and Amber although the white kit has brought back memories of my first games watching City. To me the stripes aren't that important, it's the colours of claret and Amber that should always be the forefront of a Bradford City home kit

 

Sure. Claret and amber should always be the predominant colours of our home shirt. I personally like the stripes and I think they are now what we are associated with, although I know that hasn't always been the case.

 

The other aspect of sticking with stripes is that it prevents abominations like that RL-style shirt we got relegated from L1 in or, even worse, that utterly horrendous checkerboard rag we had a few years back.

 

Any news anyone on next season's new kit, be interesting to see who's making it if we are no longer using Avec, Umbro would be amazing.

 

Is it not Macron, the new kit manufacturer. Sure i had heard that somewhere.
Claret and amber stripes for me everytime.
it was mainly white when i started to watch in the 70's. That could be any number of teams and is too close to our neighbours for my liking.

 

As long as it's predominantly claret and amber I ain't fussed about stripes. Wouldn't mind a copy of some of the Roma kits, they always seem to look the part.

It's been unusually quiet on the kit front this time.By now there is usually someone with inside knowledge dropping a few hints.

 

Sparks eluded to it being Macron manufactured when he did his end of season interview with BBC Radio Leeds. His trip to Italy was discussed.

 

Unless Ryan Sparks was bluffing with his post on Instagram a month or so ago it's going to be Macron. He did confirm in his Radio Leeds interview at the weekend the home kit would be released on 16th June along with a revamped club shop.

 

Yes the revamp of the club shop is going well I'm told, back to it original place over looking the pitch near the players tunnel.

 

That would make sense why when i went past at the weekend it had lots of boards on the wall which look like they were ready for new signage to go onto

Thanks for the update, kind of explains the complete lack of stock when trying to buy stuff on the weekend online. Mrs wanted a city wolly hat as it's going into winter in Melbourne but couldn't see a thing, not even a scarf on the city website!!!!

 

Yes, said he'd been to Bologna on a business trip and they are Macron....

We will be back to claret and amber stripes next term you would think. We tend to alternate between stripes and something different.
