And they openly said that was due to the increase in other income because of their promotion to PL. So if they had been in Championship they wouldn't have

But they could have picked a new kit, but chose not to.

Yes, but they openly said they only did it because they were in the PL

To be honest, I don't see what difference that makes. Other clubs in the Premier league are still going to change their shirts in 2022; Brentford are not. Arguably, those well established in the league for many years are in a better position to afford it than Brentford.

Not so long ago a kit was for 2 seasons, we need to go back to that.
The prices now for cheap tat are ridiculous, I'm glad I don't have a couple of football mad kids who want a new kit every year.

White shirts, shorts and socks with a claret and amber trim would be great

I'm with Trev. The white kits are usually far better than the stripes.

I like the colours of claret and Amber but not bothered about what configuration it comes in.

The stripes make us look like the gasworks street gang team from the old Beano, Nice crisp white is the way

All white means only one thing to real City fans, and it isn't good.
Claret and Amber it must always be.

The one good season we had in white was the excuse to foist this season's awful kit on us, if I knew how to download pictures I could show many of Big Bobby in proper City kits.

    Spot on.

Took my lad to Man City earlier this season. I think the small mens shirts were about £80-90 with pre-printed names on and £70 to £75 even without names. Sickening. Should get a full kit for that, but I expect even Man Utd and Liverpool are little better?

How much are our shirts new these days? Anything above £40 is too much IMO

White is boring and commonplace. Claret & amber stripes is unique and recognisable worldwide since our giantkilling days under Parky. It's also what we wore in the PL, our promotion season to the PL, the nearly season and all our Wembley playoff appearances. If you asked fans of other clubs what our shirt is, most would say claret and amber stripes.

Why discard our USP for a nondescript white alternative?
