Great interview again. Calm collected and knows what went/is going wrong. Just doesn't have the players to play his way. Hopefully he does next season-which starts early in July- so not long to get his squad together.

I don't think Sutton will stay. He doesn't have the technical ability for Hughes system

 

Sadly I think you might be right, but I will miss his unpredictability

 

What about going to watch another club if they put you through so must stress, Elland Road or maybe the John Smiths Stadium, just a thought .

 

Dreadful today.

But, I think it was a good game in terms of everything that's wrong with this squad and what areas are severely lacking.

No pace, no athleticism, no physicality, centre backs who struggle to pass, fullbacks who are bang average at best, midfielders who struggle to get about the pitch and attackers who contribute nothing infront of goal.

Good side though Bristol Rovers. Much better than Newport or Vale.

 

Its something we are going to have to live with for several more seasons, then who ever owns the club has a decision
to make build a new stadium (which we know will not happen) share a stadium or try to get a better deal from the pension fund/Gordon Gibb which in itself will be difficult with the legal rules regarding pension funds.

They played well tbf.

If I was managing a team against us I'd do exactly what they did - press the defenders because none of them are comfortable passing the ball. Our defenders panic, can't pass, we hover the ball up and attack again. Simple really.

You've watch City long enough to not let it get to ya, another poor day at the office, grab a beer and forget about it, this season is over we have to look to the future with a bit of positivity.

 

That's the bit I don't understand our back 4 aren't good enough to play out from the back, a perfect example when Paudie tried and got the ball pinched luckily he was quick enough to make a last ditch challenge and won it back.

Unfortunately we've got a piss poor midfield who seem to lack the ability to take the ball of defenders. I'm not fussed about defenders playing like they are Rio Ferdinand, I'd rather they were a solid unit.

Our back 4 can't defend or add to the attack. It's painful to watch.

 

Game was dire with no threat of winning.
Didn’t mind the ground, we stood in the terrace, seemed full to capacity.
Left car at hotel, getting the bus there and back with no problems at all.
Some great bars and food places to chose from too.

 

He just runs a lot. Usually into people.

 

Good management is that. Positively building your players up in the media. Doesn't mean its true.
