    It's pretty inevitable when one of them doesn't normally play there and we have a fairly green LB.

    Oh and not a single defensive minded midfielder.

    The squad is so lopsided - we have around a zillion No10's / wingers no CB's and no CDM's : unamused:

    I have faith that Hughes will sort it out :)

    That's the real issue. We need to have an annual clear out to get rid of the poor recruits. If only we had the ability to bring in a better squad of players during the transfer windows or develop a better quality of player through our own academy, we could dispense with the annual clear out. Undortunately we've proved over several years now that we are incapable of doing that.

    Said it all pre-season, but we never signed that experienced midfielder that really help clubs at this level.

    Paul Coutts, at 33, is the kind of midfield general we need next season.

    Maybe so, though we need much more besides. A new back 4 and keeper, a midfield general, one or two wingers and at least 2 quality strikers.

    When will the penny drop with Hughes that Gillead is so poor as an attacking midfielder, poor anywhere near goal with a dreadful scoring record,
    In a game like today where we are been overrun we needed a box to box workhorse like Sutton at least on the bench

    Why not apply the same criteria to Watt. He's supposed to be a specialist passer but gives the ball to the opposition numerous times most games. Not to mention getting caught in position and giving away stupid free kicks in dangerous positions.

    They're all at clubs with little expectation and very little pressure compared to ourselves. Not just from the fans but the media expect us to be challenging every season.

    Not won at home since January 15th,11 wins in 40 games and how many games this season have we totally dominated ? That tells me enough these players are not good enough for a promotion team and I mean a majority of the players.
