Thought we showed some class in midfield today but needed Vernam on much earlier as we were very slow in our build up play. Periera looked to make things happen.

All in all a decent game and for once we looked in control for long spells.

 

Agree with most of that, other than Hendrie provided most of our quality crosses today. However last week I thought he looked lightweight and got bullied.....mind you I thought our whole team got bullied against Vale

 

The lads sat next to me today were saying that vernam has signed a pre contract with Lincoln and will be joining them next season .

Hendrie is alright. Good enough as a backup and a better quality backup than we've had recently but not good enough as a starter next season.

 

I think the full back needs and understanding with whoever is playing in front of him to have the confidence to attack on the overlap. We need to develop these understandings all over the pitch

That guy was a nob all game but he cleverly went past Gilliead, Gilliead pulled his shirt, and then he further cleverly ran in front of Gilliead or into Gilliead's line of running and Gilliead rather clumsily wasn't thinking and continued running into him or barged into him. After you said watch it back, I did, and that is what I saw.

 

I don't think they are in the same class as Vale, Exeter or even Mansfield, so it was easier to deal with the pressure. I'll be astonished if two of those three are not in L1 next season.

That’s what I saw, he deliberately ran in front and directly across , causing the contact himself. The ref must have seen it the same . Being a conman and getting Songo to the deck in the first 10 mins, from the corner kick , the ref saw was more lenient perhaps ?

 

I will be surprised if any of them want to leave! Why would you. You have the chance of playing for a International Manager, the tips abc training he can give you will be immense. Then there is the players he will attract to the club. If you’d not ambitious then maybe you do, but we will see

 

Obviously to most people a move means more brass, but if the money is not substantial I know which manager I would rather be playing under.
