I suspect many of them were coked up to the eyeballs.
There was a loud verbal argument going on between several of our yoof for ages during the first half, right in front of me. They were more interested in arguing amongst themselves than watching the game. It was really distracting and annoying.

 

Good set of lads at Darlington,they have been shit on from a great height by the FA,but they are working hard to improve their lot.Funnily enough,the only problem they have had On their travels this year was at Spennymoor.

I remember Darlington very well, especially the Friday night we got promoted, I actually asked "Anyone tell me what had happened here........" in the More oldies from the past thread.

I was talking to someone today who has close contacts with Sparks and he said Sparks was under no illusions whatsoever that if he got the next appointment wrong the whole place would go into meltdown and he would be out of a job. He also said Sparks felt very strongly that Adams had let him down personally in his approach and he was (in hindsight) wrong to pursue him, even though he stands by the view that (at the time) he "looked" very much like the right man.

My worry is that Hughes attracts attention mid way through next season and gets an offer he can't refuse.

If he's a sucsess as you say that goes with the territory, might be me but hearing him talk about our club I believe he know exactly what our club means to Bradford City fans.

Yep , I was there…bunked off school 5th form in those days . Wall at back of goal fell on to the cinders when scrapping started.

 

You must have been stood near me, as you say a set of saddos more interested in goading/abusing the children in the home enclosure that watching the game.
Don't think you could even consider them City supporters really, just chavs looking for trouble, especially the kid who threw the smoke bombs, hood up, gloves on and scarf over his face, complete tossers.
First time in ages that I haven't been able to see the goals go in, even stood up at 6'3" couldn't see much of the near goal at all.
Stayed over and enjoyed a drink after the match after our more "exuberant" fans had set off home.
A great couple of days away.

Yes he did indeed. Under Mccall during his first spell if I'm not mistaken, or certainly around that time. Distinctly remember matt clarke being so bad he made lee look crap as well.

 

He did, what a cheery chap I wonder if he went to the same charm school as Bowyer and Adams I nearly fell asleep listening to that then…
