I would agree that Staunton would be a good bet as left sided centre half, but he went off injured today. I am assuming that Staunton won't be fit for Tuesday. Which leaves only Kelleher and Songo'o in the first team with any history of playing centre half. I suppose he could put Finn Cousin Dawson at centre half, hoping that Foulds is over his illness.

 

I was liking this post....until I got to the last four words. He's a has been. If we want to be progressive, then we need a manager who is likewise. DA was full of quotes about how good his pedigree and CV is. Evans will be the same. I don't want a manager hanging onto the coat tails of promotions seasons ago. Evans is a hungry manager perhaps, but we want a manager who is hungry for making inroads into his career and building up a CV of successes.

I don't believe that Sparks would have the bottle to employ him. For me it would be a sensible appointment, because he clearly has an admiration for the club (he's uttered lots of complimentary things about us in the past).

Paudie is a one man pub fight .....but he is on my retained list every time . Great player love his ethics. If he had a good centre half and right and left back he would be fine but he he is trying too hard sometimes to compensate ....and when you do that you get too worked up sometimes and thats can happen today.He plays right on the stay on send off line..... Dave. If it happened we just need to pinch our nose. It could work. Prior to this season Gillingham fans were waxing lyrical about him.

We actually need a big character. I worry about someone up and coming having to cope with a squad that's done for 3 managers in the last 15 months.

 

Nonsense in my opinion I am the last person to want a manager sacked unnecessarily but Adams only knew how to play one way which I don’t criticise if it is getting results it wasn’t but a manager these days has to have a connection with the fan base he seemed to provoke fans deliberately at times and blaming everyone around him singling out individuals a cardinal sin. Adams is the biggest disappointment of manager in my 64 years of following this club

 

Watt was terrible with his passing, virtually plays for the other side,
Delfonso, Past it and slow, No threat or help
Gilliead All over the place and always loses the ball
Cook a one style no pace forward that every CB has in his pocket
Songo a midfielder who plays CB like a midfielder, poor in the air and usually out of position
We have no width and no pace up front and a dodgy defence, We look doomed

 

Not a chance, he'll sit on his 'arris till the summer and either get a lower Championship or a league one club.
