Learning from mistakes?

Why is said poster pathetic? I'd say he is a supporter who pays a bit more than your average Joe's £169 to watch his club. And gives advice to the club when asked. I'm sure if you was willing to put more money to the club you too may be able to be an ambassador then at least we know where fecking doomed

 

Thanks for that Sergio, Trevor and a few others. I did suggest to Park earlier that I give a full cover of Ambassadors, roles, fees and so on but he has not responded so I will deal with your point.
Firstly I am not one of the Naughty Boys so your comment to me is misplaced. I wont hold my breath for an apology. Second the Naughty Boys are not some self styled group of elitists, just normal hard working business owners or senior managers, BCFC fans and successful at what they do. I say self styled because they were not responsible for the nickname, they just ran with it as an amusement. Third, neither they as a group or any other Ambassador is out to cause trouble deliberately, if that were not the case why as a group would we be contributing around £60k in fees for the coming season when we have no need other than the love of the Club which, hopefully will be here after we all shuffle off. In my case after 64 years supporting, possibly quite soon.
Now, one year after Mark Lawn became joint owner he, very cleverly introduced the notion of having paying Directors and paying Associates. I was invited to join the Board in 2009 and my wife became an Associate later. I was thought to have some property and corporate skills which would help the Club. Before JR and ML sold the Boardroom had formed a strong bond, you do when you sit with the same people at games on the same table. The group known as the Naughty Boys formed a strong bond which went outside VP but always part of the BCFC welcome to visitors, a welcome which finished with us winning the EFL Boardroom of the year for 5 years running. So what you say! I say it built the reputation of BCFC in L2 and then L1, generated goodwill which we all need now and then and other Clubs looked forward to coming to VP for the welcome. After one game, on leaving us the wife of a visitor said " Goodbye you naughty boys" and it started there. Not self styled, not created, not arrogant, not even thought of.
Football is a small world, you realise that as you visit other Clubs, word got out, visitors would arrive saying "which are the naughty boys?" They were made welcome, we won awards. When the EFL decided to declassify we finished third behind Newcastle and Norwich the season before last...brilliant. Seniors from different clubs all say great bunch, at the end of last season when we sent MK down Pete Winkleman the Chairman made a tearful speech as how he would miss the naughty boys

Yes these guys have a badge, presented to visitors, Barry Fry loves his and imagine walking into the Boardroom at Plymouth to see the same badge, respect to BCFC they said. Good relationships and respect to the Club.
The Naughty Boys do other things, money for charity and for four years or so have sponsored a game at Guiseley, last year BCFC. They do things together, it's called being a solid team.
Final word to Sergio and others, I find that before you jump to sneer and criticise, better to have some facts.

Whether it is true or not, what an absolute crock of rubbish and an embarrassment.

Whatever happened to having some professional pride and keeping things in house. Whoever is leaking this sort of info needs to look at themselves in the mirror.

 

I made the point these are just hard working guys.

 

All fine Roger. I'm sure these guys are upstanding individuals and excellent in the work that they do. We were aware of the boardroom awards from previous years and it's very commendable.

Just a couple of very short questions though if you wouldn't mind?

1) When they have sponsored the games at Guiseley for the last 3 or 4 years what names did they do it under?

2) If they are pulling together for the club as you say would it be possible for you to explain why at least one of them has quite clearly provided Bronco with words to post on here with a negative slant towards the owners?

 

When my son and I were at Valley Parade collecting for the Burns Unit at the last home game of the 2016 17 season we were given Naughty Boy badges, by one of the most generous and sociable Club Ambassadors you could ever meet.
I am sure they are are doing a great job on behalf of Bradford City.

Sorry Roger I have only just read this and your following post. I think you have out the history of the group and it’s function very well. I know they do great things for the club and the club is lucky to have them. Still don’t think though that stirring things up helps.

 

So I take it nobody will be asking @wetherbywhaler what is going on at the club regarding pitch updates signings and in house stuff like catering and the refurbishment to certain areas of the stadium because as an ambassador he shouldn't be letting club stuff be known on social media.?

 

I am sure if he wants to let us know something he will I am also sure he wouldn’t be putting out “Mischief “ like some of the Naughty boys did
