Next Manager Poll

Given the abject failure of my last vote, I am not voting here !

 

Once again if they are being serious someone has voted for McCall

 

Is this for what we want or what we expect?

 

Luke garrard for me . Boreham wood manager. Don’t no much about Him but seems to be doing a decent job . Tired of the old washed out pros approach

 

Wild hopefully. For me could be like when we appointed Law but he won’t have both hands behind his back.

Done a fantastic job at Halifax.

 

Wild wouldn't stay as caretaker for Oldham the first time because he said he want experienced enough and was worried the fairytale would come to an end, then he left Oldham altogether after his second stint because it was too much for him to handle.

Not being funny, but it would be a terrible appointment. Needs a smaller club.

 

Will the people who vote for the eventual manager have their vote thrown back in their face and ridiculed endlessly when it inevitably goes t!ts up in less than 12 months.
If so I will kindly refrain from this vote.

 

He's since had 3 years at Halifax and got them into the top 10 each time. His recruitment is very good as he loses his best players every summer, then builds a new team.

Financially, he's not got a playing career to fall back on, so Management is his career. He'll be incredibly motivated.

I think he'd be an excellent appointment.

can we add Fordy as an option? He has all the ideas so might as well give him a chance

Which Matt Taylor are we talking about?

 

He has consistently said he's comfortable at Halifax and hasn't shown any desire to move to a bigger club.

He has flat out rejected the idea of going to Chesterfield or Hartlepool and has hinted that he doesn't feel he is ready. He left Oldham because he didn't enjoy the pressure, and briefly left football altogether. Very briefly.

Halifax came along and was a perfect fit.

Two weeks ago he did an interview and said he's more than happy at National League level and would be happy if that's the highest he ever managed.

He has stressed before that the money he was on as academy manager at Oldham was enough, but they kept putting him in the manager role that he was so uncomfortable with. He has a mortgage and family, and as long as that gets paid, he isn't chasing anything more.

I don't what more he can say to try and put off teams like us.

 

Have you got the interview?

I read that he turned Chesterfield down as he didn't want to move to a team in the same division, out of respect for Halifax.

You can read this two ways -

We’re an attractive proposition for even the top managers. @Interested Bystander will be getting nervous.
