Learning from mistakes?

Just out of interest as I don't think it's been mentioned, how did Edin find out who the match sponsor was ?

I wouldn't have thought part of a pre match discussion would involve the owner of one club phoning another and asking who the match day sponsor was ?

 

There was no discussion it was entirely Guiseley's decision based on a consultation between their commercial director and their press officer who knows James having worked with him and being aware of the possible intent and therefore the ramifications of such.

I can't talk for everyone but I fit into neither of those two camps. I don't agree with Edin's outlook on the game, I don't like the plan and I don't think it will work. I can't do anything about that though,

More importantly though. I'm utterly bored of the sniping, bitching and childish bickering that is going on around our club at the moment.

If there's something going on come out and say it and back it up with proof.

Actual grown adults getting other people to post their words on a message board, club "Ambassadors" calling themselves "Naughty Boys" and trying to get sly little digs in using Mason's name. I mean, feck me, I'd be disappointed if my kids behaved in such a juvenile fashion. It's nursery stuff.

Somebody said it earlier but put up or shut up. Speak clearly about the issues behind the scenes if that's what you want to do but stop causing low key unrest just for the sake of it.

 

I wonder if the Ambassadors have to provide their own Ferrero Rochet ?

 

i joined this forum thinking it would be nice to hear the grassroots thoughts on all things football . i have been reading now for a couple of hours and feel thuroughly depressed. it seems to me those people infighting and sniping at management and each other need to be reminded we have enough on fighting the rest of the division without all this rubbish. get off your political bandwagons and lets try regain some respect from the rest of the league .

What's the point of these 'ambassadors' or 'associate directors'? I presume they are professional people who offer their services to the club at a reduced rate or maybe even free. Is it worthwhile having these 'ambassadors' if they are not helping to portray the clubs vision (whether they believe it to be right or wrong)? If i strongly disagreed with direction the club was taking then i would feel morally obliged to leave the position. Would it be better to pay the going rate for professional services rather than have a divisive element within the club?

 

Most of them pay for the privilege and put their expertise to use for the club and are very worthwhile in my opinion. I just think publicising this is wrong
