A few of the players have come out in support of Short, on Twitter, but to be fair, the criticism appears to be deserved. The players have been unfit for the last 2yrs. McCartan came with fitness issues and still had them by the end of the season

Firstly, whilst not everyone is pro-Rahic, there are many that believe he is doing the right thing. You may believe it is more to do with getting behind him because there is little else we can do. But there are many others that simply refuse to accept Edin is trouble.

You say we can’t do anything about it, but the answer isn’t to just sit back and accept everything he does. If we got relegated this coming season and went out of the league the season after, would you still suggest doing nothing? Look at how that worked out at Orient.

I’m not saying everything he touches is bad, far from it. But it’s a worry that he refuses to accept that not all his decisions are correct and that he should listen to others. The fact Mason felt forced out is a massive concern to me.

It appears that some others think “so what”, and feel those concerned fans are over-reacting and this is where we differ

Which is fair enough, but you’d still expect that, as one of the ambassadors, he’d have heard something

I haven’t believed anything. I said both have made their views; one dismissing the others’ view.

Where have I called Jam a liar? How do we know that his source wasn’t trying to cover up what went on? As I said, nobody knows for sure.

But you just keep your head in the sand and refuse to accept that it was a possibility..!

Or you may want to read the reply from Roger instead?

Maybe it’s you that needs to stop being blinkered Kev. As for ‘agenda’, what fricking agenda? I don’t have one. I’ve praised Edin when I have felt the need but I’m not going to stay quiet when I feel he is at fault.

You’re missing the point. If it was no big deal, Edin did not need to react as he allegedly did. Regardless of what the reason was, they did it knowing the reaction it would get and if you believe what you read, Edin fell straight into the trap.

Regardless of why it was done, surely the question has to be, (if true), why did Rahic pull the plug. Was it such a big deal to have an ex-employee named as the sponsor title?

But that didn’t stop him when commenting on the ‘McCall banned from VP as studio guest’ claim didn’t it?

Oh that’s right, HE was the source that time

I'd be more inclined to believe Roger Owens post that people can actually read rather than some mythical E-mail that may or may not exist, regardless of the actual content.

They have zero cash but don’t like a load of FORRUN owners in the club and want to cause a load of shite to get the club on the cheap.

I hope they get no where near the club

Some fans have firmly planted their feet in Rahic can do no wrong mentality, I accept others see him as a nemesis and do no right.
Personally I feel he'll fail in his ideology and vision of where the club will go, obviously I could be wrong.
However, it saddens me and makes me angry knowing we were on the cusp of Championship football.
The fans that firmly back ER way, I feel, will be dogmatic and probably still argue his virtues in the national leagues.
If, it does go pear-shaped, then Rahic is in for a big battle, I won't give my club up easily.

Don't believe a word Roger Owen says. He's the one who's been stirring shirt and giving Bronco his private info (often complete lies) which has got both nothing to do with him, or anyone else for that matter. An embarrassment to the club and hardly a valid source to back up anything anti Rahic.

Based on some of the comments on here and Twitter I sincerely hope to god we are never 'fan owned'.

We would be out of business within 3 years. Imagine someone like Fordy running the club...

Read this thread and to be honest not sure of the rights and wrongs and who is telling the truth,
What does concern me a little however is a group of grown men who are so childish to name themselves "The naughty boys club" More school-boys than Ambassadors and should grow up.

    Wow. Just Wow.

Having caught up with this thread, and read 25 pages and 496 posts, then this matter has certainly created a lot of interest and sadly some bile and posturing.

Trying to stand back and be objective, then I have a few observations.
    • I think it is an excellent idea to recognise an employee on their leaving a position.
    • To do this by 'sponsoring' a football game seems creative and somewhat bizarre. Perhaps they could have had a banquet meal at somewhere like the Box Tree.
    • A more tangible recognition would be to use their collective strength to help the individual in their career path.
    • Choosing the name 'The James Mason Appreciation Society' seems mischievous at best. Perhaps members of this august society can provide details of its aims, membership fees, and constitution?
    • Little thought about the potential impact upon Guiseley FC seems to have been exercised in this matter. I note the comment, 'As to a name causing a reaction, as you put it, I would say what's in a name'.#239 wetherbywhaler, Yesterday at 9:15 AM I would suggest quite a lot is in using a name, otherwise why use it?
    • If @wetherbywhaler and perhaps friends/associates have issues, then perhaps they can clarify just what they are.
    • It has been suggested that Guiseley decided not to accept the sponsorship, which seems sensible, when they thought through implications.
    • If City had objected, '...on the grounds that it may cause 'fan unrest', then that seems wholly dramatic and unnecessary. Just to let Guiseley know that they felt it was not appropriate, would in my mind have been sufficient, as I am sure Guiseley would wish to foster positive links with City.
    • If the 'James Mason Appreciation Society', have serious issues with how the club is being run, then I think it would be more honest and constructive, if they came out directly and said it. Deliberately providing material which they must have known would cause controversy, when placed in the public domain through Bantam Talk, seems an 'interesting' way of doing business.
    • There was talk of a 'Consortium' seeking to buy the club. They were not in a position to do so when the club was up for sale. Then the apparent failed take over by the Paladini group, did not lead to a public bid by a 'Consortium' to buy the club.
    • Lets be clear, no Bradford or indeed West Yorkshire individual/group/business has sought to buy Bradford City since the Tordoff involvement over three decades ago.
At this stage of the year, we really need to be focusing on the new season. All this has done is create further tensions and potential disharmony. There is an old saying in Yorkshire, "you either put up or shut up". I think it is useful advice to all the parties involved in the matter.

Ahhh right, well that explains it. Cited him for talking nonsense a few times.

You are correct, he is a SS. I won't be agreeing with you again btw.
